No - Just highschool french (which was some 30 years ago! ugh!) Just wondered because you had "Chandail de Noel" before the pictures of the scarves."Au coin du feu" is the proper name. Parlez-vous français?

Totally agree with you!!What timing you have...I was just looking at this on the French site and thinking how wonderfully it ties!! There is a great textural look to it! Also, Hermes seems to do so few greens in their scarf collections.

I apologize for the inaccurate colors in my photos, I don't know why the lighting is so tricky in my house at night. In any case, here is my newest 90, Bout du Monde CW04, Petrole, Bleu Nuit and Etoupe. I will definitely take some daylight pictures tomorrow, the colors are so beautiful and nautical on this CW. I also tied it together with my 90 De la Mer au Ciel to create a giant silk and they worked together quite well.

I agree about the lack of greens. I also think Hermes is not good with red in silk scarves as they tend to go more towards the orange part of the spectrum.What timing you have...I was just looking at this on the French site and thinking how wonderfully it ties!! I saw some interesting reissues of Springs; one had a base colour of vert sapin with anthracite and you would think that would be very dour but the whole thing was lifted by the central portion in celadon .I'm on the look out for a green scarf and that is a prime candidate. The Springs in red that I saw had a border of bordeaux with a more standard red inside that - I will have to check it again to see if it crosses into orange territory but I was impressed by the boldness and perfection of colour combinations in Springs.
I couldn't summon much enthusiasm for last season's silks but the new crop has been delightful in unexpected ways.
