I suggest you girls be very careful when buying Eva, not just there are some super fake eva out there, the design of EVA would cause crack near the end of the zipper, of course it may not bother some people, it's a pretty bag, if you carefully use it, the cracks may not enlarge.
I haven't heard anything about cracking on the Eva. I have all three canvasses and I they have probably been my most used bags. My monogram Eva was even a pre-loved, well used bag and had no issues what so ever. In my opinion they are one of the most useful little bags with the least amount of problems of any LV I've owned.

I was talking about the L shape of the canvas on both ends of the zipper where the corners of the L shape would crack. If yours don't have the problem, great!

try to attach a picture here since its hard to explain...

Yes, I do see what you are referring to. I don't actually think that is a crack in the canvass, however. I had noticed that on my Eva's too a long time ago. They all have it, on all four corners of the zipper. I think it's a deliberate slit in the canvas to accommodate the lining bending behind the canvas, if you understand what I mean? It shows up a more easily on the damier ebene because of the red lining, but it's present on all of the Evas on all of the corners in the exact same spot and it's the exact same size. If you look closely, there is a stitch behind each of those tiny slits, and the slit does not expand beyond that stitch. I think it's part of the design of this particular piece, probably to relieve stress on the canvas from the lining. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I have to disagree honey, not everyone has that crack in their bag but many probably have, from the use not from the initial making of the bag. Although I believe these cracks may caused by the design, since the stress from carrying the bag put towards where the zipper pulling is, so heavier the bag is, and more use of the bag, the cracks maybe enlarger if you already have them. If we look up used bags on ebay or online consignment shops, we can see some really used ones with larger cracks.

such as this one:

Yikes! That bag looks like it was treated rough. The cracks in that canvas are going the opposite way from the one that the other poster's shows and from what I see on my bags as well. My guess is that bag was overstuffed a few too many times. I think ANY bag, no matter what it is, can develop cracks, tears, holes, or whatever if they are not treated well. I don't baby my bags in the least, but I've had some of my LV bags for years now, and used them well and I don't have anything that looks that worn. Just look at the condition of that zipper...it's all wavy and the lining is frayed. I don't think most Evas are going to look like that unless they are not properly cared for. I never overstuff my bags to the point of putting stress on the seams, or so that the zipper buckles and looks out of line.

I have to agree with you. I have my Eva now for 9 years if not more got new in paris and I use her all allot but she looks new. I have never seen anything like that.

@SuziZ and @Cams - same here, I've had DE Eva for several years, I use it a fair amount and mine doesn't have any cracks or loose stitching, but I've heard of this happening to others, maybe they overload it or are rough on their bags.
I don't baby mine, and sometimes I carry a camera and a phone, along with wallet, keys and make up.
I wouldn't worry about this, jmo :peace:
