The Dumbest Reason You Ever Gave For Buying a Bag

Don't beat yourself up about it. At least your can return it, right? (But I'm very curious about this bag. Details please?) In the meantime you can console yourself by buying something you know you'll love.

Late night shopping won this morning around 2:00am (about 35 minutes ago). I was "this" close to turning off my laptop but I said one more search, and that's when I lost. Poshmark purchase (not the bag I was looking at the other day). You'll love this part. (Are you sitting down?) It's.....YELLOW! I Know! You know how I'm always talking about wanting a yellow bag for the Spring/Summer? Well I'm hoping this Aimee Kestenberg CBB will be my occasional switch from red. Now I really should turn off my laptop!
Hmmm console myself by buying something I love... sounds like a great reason to me!

I can't return the bag, but I do feel like the description wasn't clear, so I'm going to try to talk to someone and see what happens. I do love the actual bag, but I just can't get rid of the thought that these wild crocs (if they weren't farmed) could have eaten people, and that I could be carrying a bag made from an animal that has eaten a human being!:wtf: This thought is what grosses me out.

Re your yellow bag purchase, are you sure you're not going to think about your other red bags while you're carrying the yellow bag????:happydance::lol:

Come ON you gotta tell what it is - only one in the world?
Yes. That's what I told myself!

Ok since you two insisted, here it is! A perfectly sized basket bag( I currently have 2; one slightly too small, and the other too big)

But THIS one is not too small and not too big, has a top closure which is very rare for a basket bag, in a shape and color I want, has a lining, perfect for summer, and a great price(kinda sounds like a perfect bag, doesn't it? )

Also, at the time I was considering buying the bag, I was imagining all the seaside picnics I'll be attending with this bag while wearing a beautuful flowy summery dress, going to a botanical garden with a few flowers sticking out from the basket, and going to an event that requires a safari themed outfit.
The thing is I probably won't ever do seaside picnics nor go to a safari themed event.
I do go to botanical gardens a lot though, but I hate bees, so I would NEVER do anything that attract bees, including carrying flowers around while sight seeing.
So, I don't know what happened, but I bought the bag.

But, at this very moment, I think I've pretty much convinced myself to keep this bag while reiterating my previous thoughts! LOL:lol::lol::lol:

I "think" I can carry it one day with minimal separation anxiety. When I was paying for my groceries at Trader Joe's Saturday, I pulled out my wallet and the female cashier looked at me and said, "Let me guess. You like red!" I had on a red tam, red scarf, red bag, red wallet. (And if we had been outside she would have seen red sunnies.) My jacket and leggings were navy, but the print on my leggings were red roses. Yeah, I, I, I, can carry a yellow bag!

Thanks for showing us the bag!
What's the expression? "The bottom line is..." And your bottom line speaks for all of us!

Not to enable you  but I love a small shopper for a daytime special occasion, doesn't matter what you put in it. The point they're so much useful than most day clutches or other types of smart-casual bags when you're outside dn the weather changes by the minute. It's also really useful after the initial date.

As for the skin, I don't share your concerns for this one, but I totally understand it's very difficult to carry/wear something that makes one feel squeamish.

You just got me looking at RR and seeing all the bags (and other things) that got away so thank you (or not). Good thing (for my wallet at least) that I'm the other side of the Atlantic, US imports are a huge hassle. 'The one(s) that got away' is another dumb reason for wanting another bag, since it will also usually be 'the one I kept forgetting about' too.

I don't know how much you paid for this bag, but it was worth if for the great flights of imagination you've already had with it, and you don't even have it yet!

Below are my pathetic excuses….
A) OMG it’s limited edition, what if it’s never available again - looking at my Dior book tote
B) this style doesn’t work for me but it’s so rare and hard to find and I’ll definitely wear it when I ‘lunch with the ladies’ (um, lunch all the time and never carried it) - looking at my avatar bag - the H dalvy
C) I no longer need this bag as it’s too big and heavy but I can’t sell it because I’m nostalgic, will never get this combo again, or am afraid I will suddenly get stronger and will want it again - looking at my Togo B35
