As far as I can see Mulberrygal, they've not included this in the new website, preferring to have a couple of sentences on each individual bag relating to the leather.Hi, thanks but I was referring to the new Mulberry website, sorry I was a bit misleading there.
On their old website there used to be a tab at the bottom and there was a picture and description of all the leathers they produced
I cant find it anywhere now. Does anyone know where it is located?

NP has a section on leathers which is a very useful reference guide....

Shiny leather is usually buffalo, Polly is made from shiny grain, which is an embossed printed grainHi ladies,
I just found a bag that says "shiny leather". It looks like an Alexa with the metal plates on it. What would shiny leather be? Would it be similar to the Polly leather? I don't even know what the Polly leather is, other than I have one and it is fabulous. It does shine, so just asking. TIA...
Please could some kind person advise me about croc patterned leather, because I recently bought a SBS (OK'd by TPF) in black croc patterned leather and it is very very dull. It is almost new and I had thought not been treated or polished, so, attempted to polish it, still dull. The leather feels very rubbery to such an extent I began to doubt its authenticity, so have gently scratched the inside edge of the internal zip puller and that seems to be leather. I suppose I expected it to come up shiny like my vintage pieces of croc leather. So, please does anyone have any suggestions or a solution, or is this how new croc leather presents? Many thanks in anticipation of help :wondering
Reading through the earlier posts, could it be Mississippi stated to be matt and dry? and if so, how do I look after it please as I find it quite an alien type of leather.
Thank you MooShooShoo. They certainly many different types of leathers indeed! I prefer the Polly leather to the buffalo shiny grain. I hope it holds all my stuff, because I certainly do load it up!Shiny leather is usually buffalo, Polly is made from shiny grain, which is an embossed printed grain![]()
Antique leather is supposed to have a crinkled look veiny like a marble they are quite hard wearing I would still moisturise it every so often to keep it supple thoughHi
I have just read the whole thread looking for information on antique leather (I think its called that). Can anyone tell me how antique leather bears up over time? I've seen a Bayswater clutch on a site and it looks good but it has a very wrinkled bottom (!). Is this just the nature of the leather and can it be treated? Thank you!
