Thank you so much ladies for all your responses, I really do appreciate each and everyone of them. I'm so addicted to mulberry now. I hope England keeps making their bags in England and continue to grow their quality with more creative bags. I was able to find certain things that are sold out in uk but able to get them from USA lol. Such a wonderful customer service from USA SA compare to chanel customer service. Anyhow I just realized; mulberry website has spring summer 2014, Croc print bayswater coming under main collection. Print looks more like moo's bays :) I'm so excited, hoping to grab it at the airport during my trip to states :)
I will post a pic if it's available to buy. Thanks again to all UK/non UK mulberry ladies!!!

I also have a black ss large lily... No lifting at all, and it's been heavily used (amazing o have a lily I can get a pair of pumps in for wedding etc :-) )

Also have an oak ss OS alexa. Have used about 3 times, as feels too delicate and scales jabbing on loathing seem to lift them a little, although I just gave her a big drink of leather gel, and it seems to also push the scales back down...

Hi, I was wondering if one of you wonderful people (who may have some free time) can show me close up samples of some of the Mulberry leathers and put the name and description please? As much as I appreciate the names and descriptions, I still have a hard time with some of my Mulberry bags. I am afraid I am bit thick in the head;)

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have experience with metallic print leathers, i.e. metallic leopard print and suchlike - I wonder if the print wears off from rubbing against clothing?
Same question for patent bags or trimmings, really.
Rubbing would be impossible to avoid in cross body models, so please anyone, your guidance is highly appreciated before I go ahead and purchase a metallic print bag!

Xxx

Correction ladies, the leather I refer to above is called " patent leopard" - but the question is still how easily it wears? Xxx

Mulberry has made a variety of croc and snake bags, some of which are printed and others which are as the SA told you hand carved. The carved leathers can suffer from lift and the only way to treat this is as Lulu suggests, with collonil gel, which helps prevent the leather from drying out.
I have the Del-Rey and medium Cecily in snake, both over a year old. There are a couple of scales on the Del-rey, but otherwise no problem.
Just wondering, where the scales have lifted, is this really noticeable, ie. can you see a different coour underneath? Is it possible to stick them back down?

It depends on the colour of the leather. My bags don't show white underneath, but a different colour lear may do. If you keep the leather well conditioned it really shouldn't be an issue. I wouldn't recommend trying to stick scales down if they had lifted. :smile1:
