I wish she didn't molest the bags so much if she is going to return them. I kept cringing watching her stretch them out and tug them and then her nails and chain possibly scratching the bags. I wouldn't want her returns.
That and part of the reason items seem like they fit so nicely for her is that she is stretching out the bag, it is sitting down in a place that she has two hands easily free, etc. In the real world when you are using a bag you are often carrying it, you have to open the flap and reach in and pull out an item with one hand, etc. And the back pocket it is not that easy to put a large item in there. Maybe after you stretch it out from some use? But I was trying to make use of it and put a very small amount of keys in there, and even that doesn't work well. I think that even if you fit a large phone back there it isn't easy to put in and pull it out. It is a tight pocket but maybe it stretches some over time.

Exactly! Great comments as usual, A.

I have the brushed red tea rose parker:heart: and I totally use the back pocket for a huge phone that is bigger than the iphone 8plus. I know this because all my family members have the iphone Plus versions except me. And because my variation of the Parker bag is all lined in leather and not in microfiber, the back pocket is SUPER easily accessible for my phone. I think this may be due to the fact that leather stretches easier than fabric. Not sure. But the pocket did stretch out very very little, just enough for easy access of my phone,. And when the phone is out, the stretch is hardly, hardly noticeable.
I'm not sure about the quilted Parker or the color block Parker lined in microfiber, but the all leather lined tea rose Parker bag is one of my most user friendly bags I own, especially due to the back outside pocket. Hope this clarifies about all the different Parker variations out there.
Plus with my leather lined Parker, when I'm carrying my bag crossbody, my totally stuffed bag is really easy to open and close to get my stuff. I have no problems accessing my things at all. But I'm not sure about the other versions of the Parker bags. I'm thinking it may be easier when used as crossbody as well?
One more plus about the Parker... it behaves surprisingly well in the rain. I just wiped the rain off and the leather looked good as new.
Basically, I LOVE :heart:my Parker!

Sunshine mama, glad it is working out so well for you! I honestly don't dislike this bag--I just know there are a lot of people here that are used to larger bags, or bags with one larger opening, etc, and the Parker is just so different than that. And it does have limitations for some of us using it--and as I keep saying I am a small bag person, but this bag just doesn't function as well as my favorite small bags (the mini preston and the mercer 24--both small bags but very easy to use).

It is nice the phone works for you too. Sometimes it might just depend on how thin it is, what case you have, etc. I use the front flat pocket for my phone, but it is an Iphone SE, so it is a small phone, but it just fits. It isn't like I have a lot of extra space in there. That is why I think some large phones may or may not work well--dependent on the stretch of the pocket and the size of their case, how much room someone likes to have in their phone pocket, etc.

Yeah I agree! I guess it all depends on the needs of the person who is using it. Btw, which version did you get?

I don't like fighting with my bag so if my phone won't fit, I'll just put it inside. I like it inside any way so it doesn't fall out. Just how I use my bags. Even with my Rogues, I put just about everything in the inside zipper section and my suede sides are empty. I don't want to ruin the suede I guess! I'm real gentle on my bags.

I have Black parker with snakeskin detail and it fit my smasung note with regular case just fine in the back pocket. It is little bit strecthing but I have no problem putting in or taking out with one hand while wearing the bag. Infact the bag is very easy to get into while wearing on single strap. And it fits a lot for small bag.
I thought about the Parker a lot because it seemed like a good size, and I loved the chain. But my phone won't fit in the back slot (Samsung note), at least from what I read here. I really like that tea rose turnlock a lot, though. I tried the Bowery with that tea rose, and it was too small as well. Guess it's not meant to be!

Hi guys, I have been stalking everyone’s beautiful Parkers and I am really liking the washed red with scalloped flap one. So I tried it in the store today and the flap seem very thin. Is it going create curling at the edges with repetitive opening and closing? Can someone who’s had this bag for few months let me know how it’s holding up. Thanks

I got the Coach Parker with Quilting and Rivets in Black (26850). I like how light the bag is, but I definitely can tell it's not as high quality as the 1941 bags.
The leather is slightly stretched because of the quilting design, and due to this, it makes the leather thinner. There is a 1cm oval on the back of the bag where the leather has worn down, looking dark grey instead of black. It will probably grow in time as the exterior back of the bag rubs against clothing.

For that reason, I don't think the quilting and rivet Parkers are worth the $495, maybe $350. Very cute bag though.

It fits less than both the YSL Large Monogram College Shoulder Bag and Michael Kors Large Sloan Shoulder Bag (slightly), but it's also (thankfully) lighter than the YSL bag. The MK Sloan Large and XL quilted bags fit more only because they're less structured. It fits just a tiny bit less than the Tory Burch Large Fleming Shoulder Bag because the TB has a full length exterior pocket, but the Parker fits more than the Tory Burch Gemini Link Large Shoulder Bag.
I was able to fit:
(1) Medium sized mesh pencil case
(2) 3 chapstick/lipgloss tubes
(3) Tissue packet
(4) Michael Kors Mercer Small Wallet
(5) Louis Vuitton Key Pouch Cles (vernis)
(6) Shinola small notepad
(7) nook Glowlight Plus e-Reader
(8) iPhone Plus (with basic Sonix case) in the back pocket (but it stretches a bit)

For me, it works because even though I love the YSL large monogram college and MK Sloan, the former is SO heavy on my shoulders, and the latter is too flimsy for my liking so that closing it without it being full is a pain.
