I need some advice.. If you could only have one, which of these two bags would you choose and why? Any opinions would be highly valued. TIA 💗

I can't decide between the pastel yellow patent in m/l and the medium cerf tote. I need to make up my mind once and for all and could really use some advice!

I just bought a cerf tote with silver HW it's gorgeous, but I want the corners AND the base to both retain their shape as much as possible. Chanel cerf owners, does anyone have recommendations for organizers/ bag inserts that keep the base And corners both crisp and structured without damaged or straining the bag? Thanks in advance for your help! :)

They are completely different bags, but I say Cerf Tote hands down! It's timeless, classic and so elegant. I bought a black one with gold hardware in January 2014 and I fall more in love with it every time I get it out to carry. I can see myself loving this bag forever.

Your new Cerf Tote looks fabulous on you! I got this bag a year ago in black/ gold hdw and I love it even more after owning it for a year! The leather has softened ever so slightly, but in a good way. I don't use it everyday and when not in use I have inserts from Bag a Vie inside to maintain its shape. They work perfectly! You can check their website for more info. They are worth the purchase, IMO! Enjoy your beautiful Cerf Tote!

I got the season cerf tote meaning I think mine was the thicker calfskin version. It definitely keeps the structure better than the regular deerskin because I used mine for over a year now and put a lot of stuff in it, but it still hasn't lost its shape. Keep in mind I do have a base shaper in there and when I'm not carrying it, I stuff it back with the tissue paper it came with.

You're so right they are completely different..the yellow is so pretty, but wouldn't get as much use compared to the cerf tote which is way more functional for a multitude of things. I was steered towards the cerf because it's such a bigger bag for the money compared to the m/l classic flap. Thankyou so much for the input [emoji77]

As per the advice of other tpfers, I ordered a base shaper off of bagshaperstore, it came yesterday but I'm not completely happy with it as I don't find it to be perfectly cut for the interior dimensions of the bag. I wanted it to extend to the very edge of each corner and it didn't do that for me.

Both gorgeous but I think the black cerf would be more versatile. It fits a lot which is nice without being terribly heavy. Do you have a lot of black bags already?

The only other black bags I have are the m/l Chanel classic flap in caviar and jumbo in lambskin. I wanted the cerf for more of an everyday/work bag as it is quite functional and can hold a lot. I like the cerf in the medium size, not a fan of how it looks and holds up structure wise in the large. I find that it tends to sag and doesn't hold its shape as well

Hi everyone , I recently sold my chanel gst as I just wasn't happy with the look and way it sat on the shoulder, now I'm thinking a very would be better for work... But I was at chanel the other week I. London and Im sure the lady said something about making this only a seasonal piece!? Has anyone else heard this? Also does anyone know the price of chanel cerf in UK currently. Thanks xxx

The new calfskin leather is thicker then the older style and they do call it a seasonal piece. It is currently available for £1970 in the UK

Great thanks! Does anyone know if I can get hold of the old deerskin leather without it being pre-loved ? I wasn't into how heavy it was and I quite like a bag when it's abit squished ! X
