there are hooks under the straps. pull the strap away from the bag you'll see them. they are not really hooks...i'm having a brain freeze right now, but you'll know what i'm talking about when you see them. they are circular.

I had the same problem, there are rings on the inside of the two opposite handles, the long strap hooks unto those rings on opposite handles. It took me a while and 'I felt stupid to ask at the store....

naid: It came with it. I didn't buy it separate, I wasn't even aware that it came with it. It was tucked inside the inner removable compartment. I couldn't figure out where it connected and was beginning to think I received it by accident. :p I would think that you should have gotten it also. I have the larger size.

btw, i NEVER use the strap. nice to have, but i think it takes away from the look of the cerf. i like to use the handheld...well....i USED to that is, i sold my old one on ebay and had to return my new one because of dings on it and AM STILL WAITING FOR IT! ARGH!

I couldn't believe how high the cerf totes go on ebay!! i was shocked! just recently, a g-friend of mine sold hers USED for $1,400 plus shipping! not bad!

and yes, the bag really is deerskin! :nuts:
that's part of the reason it's so $$$
deerskin is quite pricy! but it's an extremely durable, soft, supple, lightweight leather...definitely one of my favourite skins!!
