I also realized I wrote earlier that this was a 14C seasonal, but it is in fact 13B seasonal, black with SHW. You can see it is softening a bit at the base, particularly on the front. I don't use a base shaper, but I do stuff it full when not using it, being sure to get the stuffing all the way in the corners.

Thanks you for your pictures and info. Don't mind the "essay" at all, as it seems we get more info here on TPF than at Chanel😜.
I compared your reference to the one for the bag i'm on the waiting list for and it is not the same. Mine is A15206.
When i first got into the Cerf, last year, and started calling Chanel for Some info, i actually got 3 different references for the Cerf: A15206, A66439 and A67284. I was told that the first one was the classic Cerf, the second (yours) the seasonal for FW, and the last one seasonal SS.
The one i'm waiting for now as i mentioned earlier is the A15206, but this time i'm told that now it's seasonal, as the classic is no longer available.
I'm not sure anymore what's what, so i'm just going to wait for Chanel to call me and i will go and check it out for myself and if i get any doubts, i'll just pass and maybe get something else, because what happend to your bag is terrible, i can understand your disappointment and want to thank you for "warning" us. Hope everything works out for you with your Hermes. :-)

Definite difference with my bag. Looks like yours may have been on display for a while at the store; mine came straight from a box.

I think what you carry in it may also make a difference. With files and other long items, the weight is evenly balanced the length of the bag. When you just have a few small items, I would guess the weight tends to shift to the center, and the laws of physics will go to work, especially if you are using the long strap.

Also, is yours the XL size? Your tag says "Grand Shopping"; mine says "Large Shopping > 30 cm."

I got mine in Germany. The SA told me it's still available.

So my SA sent me an email saying the classic ones are being phased out and only the new version will be sold - she knew I was eyeing one for awhile and told if you want the classic - come and get it as there are only couple left in the country - I always wanted the mini and at the last minute decided to get the medium size - hope I don't regret it...so I picked up the medium one !

Thank you ladies for all of your input. Because of your pics and advice, I did not and could not pull the trigger. I don't want to spend so much money on a bag that I had reservations to begin with. I originally posted here because I had some qualms about the GHW that my SA was holding for me since I prefer SHW for my more casual lifestyle. I want a tote that can transition from work to weekends. Like PP, I do not like the feel of the Prada saffiano leather. It's too stiff to my liking (granted it's beautiful, just not my preference). I already have LV neverfull and marylebone so I wanted a more sophisticated tote, hence Chanel GST or Cerf. I learned so much about Cerfs from all of your posts and pictures, thank you, thank you, thank you! I will hold out for SHW, at least for now. (I am also on wait list for blk GST SHW, they are all sold out, at least boutiques near me!)
