Actually, its really difficult. I don't want black cos for me its too restrictive. I never (well, hardly ever) wear black. I wear lots of browns & rusts & greens & all autumnal colours so really, the brown would be more practical but I am sooo in love with the white!!!! :love:

I am not going to allow myself to make up my mind until I see one in the flesh! but I'm sure going to have a lot of fun dreaming about it!:D

You'll defiinitely save money in tax by shopping in Boston. I know Bergdorf in NYC has the dark brown cerf with cc closure for $1850 because I called yesterday. NM and BG usually carry the same inventory.

ok, hows this for my strategy;

First; Take DH to Hermes & coo over all the pretty things & if by some miracle not only do they have a Birkin but also hubby lets me have it thats fab! but! I make sure that he sees lots of zeros on all the price tags & then I take him to Chanel where $2K will be positively a bargain :D

what do you think? :D hummm, maybe its time for me to get out the old Agent Provocateur tassles just in case..... ;)

This thread is haunting me! Now I am obsessed with getting hte cerf tote. Must not spend any money right now- but just might have to cave soon. This bag is gorgeous!

Totally agree! I have put aside of buying cerf tote for a while . But after reading this thread, it is in my mind again ....I do like the CC turn lock one much better and always think it is always be there since it is permanent line. But price increases again....before is $1650.00, then $1850 and now is $1895. Oh well, it is still reasonable compared to other high end bags. Now the new collection for other high end bags is around $2K level....:push:

^^^ I hear you! It is unbelievable how the prices for handbags has skyrocketed! I remember when $500 was considered expensive for a bag. Now, I have caught myself saying $1000 for a bag is a "great deal". Somebody shoot me!

All this talk about the cerf tote I think I am going to send my red luxe bowler that I got today, back and exchange it for the cerf tote in chocolate brown!:girlsigh: What do you cerf tote fans think.

Janicemph - I HATE YOU!! I wanted it in red so badly and just settled for a red balengiaga day bag yesterday :(. I love the red bowler and I love the cerf - I can't make decisions - I would get both haha!!!
