I am looking at buying a Chanel Cerf tote for work and have found two at consignment stores, one black and one pink. Does anyone have the cerf tote? Is it a good everyday bag?
What do you think about it in a pink color? I love the classic black of course , but the pink is so darling!
I was deciding between black and beige, but I chicken out on the beige because it's a lighter color. Personally, pink will not work for me because I think it's a harder color to go with outfits.
Is it a light pink or darker?? If it's lighter, you might have to think about getting it dirty easily for everyday use.

I bought a beige cerf tote earlier this year. I guess it really depends on your personality and most of our outfit color. I always wear neutral and there's not much pink in my wardrobe so between dark & pink I'd go for dark.
Regarding your question about the usability and functionality of the bag for work, it's a great bag! You should go for it and you won't regret it. GL!
I LOVE my beige Cerf tote! I wanted a black Cerf tote, but I just bought a black Medallion, so I am thinking of getting a white one (with GHW). I've seen pictures of the white Cerf online and its beautiful. Does anyone know if Chanel still makes it in white?
I am thinking about getting a cerf tote but I really do not need anything that size for work. I do think Cerf is gorgeous though but I like the size of the medallion a little better.. can anyone help me decide? I'm sure a lot of you ladies own both the cerf and medallion, which one will hold up nicer? and go with both casual and dressy outfits? thanks

Euro 1660. Just bought today with ghw. cc Paris have beige color only. No black. Shw is more than ghw.

Does anyone know what year the Cerf tote came out in pink? Or is it something they do all the time?
Although I absolutely love my Cerf tote, I think the Medallion will hold up better, only because the Cerf can tend to become "slouchy" over time. I am trying to prevent this by keeping mine stuffed with tissue, and "rotating" it around as I store it. The Medallion is a stiffer bag with thicker leather that will probably never slouch. I think the Medallion works with both casual (jeans and St. John sweater jacket or a casual blouse, and definitely a dressier outfit (nice suit or dress). But for formal events I suppose something smaller like m/l flap or WOC is best. I love my Medallion - it has such a classic shape/look. Hope this helps...
i have both...i like the cerf a bit better but it gets slouchier with use where as the medallion has remained sturdier. Cerf I definately do casual & dressed up but leave the medallion for dressier occasions.
