Can't remember if i've already posted it, but it was an '02 Flat Brass First in mint condition from a PF'er, we agreed a buy it now of $800 but because i couldn't pay immediately she kept the auction open and in the last 12 seconds of the auction someone used the 'buy it now.' Then to add insult to injury the buyer listed it again a few weeks later but for $200 more than she paid for it, it wouldn't sell so she eventually listed it for the price she paid for it. Why oh why did she have to use that buy it now?? Every time i see a FBF now it makes me cringe and think of the bag that got away!

:crybaby:oh boo hoo hoo. I thought sharing my "one that got away" story would ease the pain... I'm on the hunt for the perfect red first. RT would be my HG, but since I'm not willing to pay over retail, I figured maybe rouge vif one day down the road. So a few days ago I saw a red first for sale- looked gorgeous, but the important pics were suspiciously blurry. Was away from my computer for a day, and when I went to look again it was gone. I looked more closely, and realized, despite the blurry tag, there was a Z on it. It was a RT first for $895!!! In MINT condition. Granted, I still would've needed clearer pics to be 100% sure of authenticity, but I'm 99% sure it was legit. It breaks my heart- I doubt a deal like that will pop up again!! I hope a pfer got her. :crybaby:I usually don't regret bags for long, but this one... I'm :noggin: myself.

Yikes!! Just saw this...be VERY thankful you didn't win the '04 Marigold (if I can even call it that)...it was FAKE!!! :cursing: I am currently in the process of working through my first ever paypal claim to get my money back. I've posted more about it in the "A Place For The Fakes" thread in case she tries to list it again.

A like new turquoise 05. I hesitated because i was broke, and then it was gone. After a while it happened again with a like new emerald 03 first, that I bought in a bash remembering my hesitation about the turquoise, but I have since realised that it doesn't work for me. It was all the other way round :crybaby:
I really wish I hadn't hesitated for that turquoise 05

I saw that one... I'll cry for you! I agree on the 99% part. It went pretty quick too. I can't believe people don't try to figure out what they have before selling!:wtf:

Thanks ladybug and erica. Actually, reading other people's sad stories eases the loss. :p No really, it helps to know other people understand! At the same time, some of the other stories on this thread make my stomach do flip-flops, so I can't read too many in a row!

Amber, so so sorry you have to deal with a fake!! I hope you get your money back- let us know what happens.

I liked that pewter black first that was on Ebay a few days ago but I had recently bought a FBF and I just wasn't feeling like I could buy the bag until I sold the other one. Also, because it was coming from Italy, I was a little unsure of the seller and afraid to roll the dice.

Okay add to that an Anis First, i was given a counter offer of $675, but couldn't accept as i was waiting for one of my auctions to end, and the seller accepted $630 from someone else. $630 for an Anis First! :noggin:
