So this is how mine went. You are eligible for a refund if the item is inaccurately described and you report it immediately I believe 48 hrs of reciept. There’s an option on Mercari to verify package before confirming similar to Poshmark. When mine arrived it clearly was not described so they approved my return when I reported it. I did have to ship back the item. After it was confirmed delivered back to sellers address (I believe they have 72 hrs to confirm they received the correct item and confirm condition) if they don’t it will auto refund after 72 hrs.

I finally got the claim issued in my favor. Now the seller has 48 hours to confirm the return shipping address and I'll receive the prepaid label from Mercari.

But I'm not complaining when it comes to Mercari. I've gotten superb customer service from them as a buyer. Depop, OTOH, is a clown show.
By the way, I just got a notice that starting tomorrow you can buy from Mercari without fees for one week.
DEPOP horror, I had a dispute dragging forever about completely ruined rouille work, nothing disclosed about the faults , in the end I asked AMEX to step in and help and they refunded me at once. DEPOP told me that I could not buy through them any more boooohoooooo 😂 …. Previous purchase through them was stinky of mold but someone wanted to get the bag as is from me so I didn't bother reporting DEPOP
Exact same experience, except I did not get banned. Amex refunded me swiftly without even requiring me to return the bag. I kept it as my trophy scalp.
After numerous attempts to return for refund, when Amex refunded no one initiated the return and mo address was known to me, so I kept mine too and repaired it somehow by myself with the “lessons” from the forum - Coach, Bal and Docride from Hermes, because I will keep it and abuse it myself, as a beat-up “students’ papers and books falling out of it “ bag. All the others I use with care, this one I am free to throw around and have it near blackboard chalk even LOL

Exactly. Serves Depop and the miserable sellers right for fighting the return tooth and nail, when all they had to do was approve the return and at least get the bags back. I feel zero guilt over coming out of that hideous ordeal with a free bag.

yes, this is a true horror , over 1100 canadian dollars which is HUUUGE....what is worst they did not bother just wiping the interior at least...why ? because people keep buying this nonsence like the green fake the other day sold for a LOT...now you need an extensive knowledge to sift through the garbage to find a gem, and those are removed by faster Bal connoisseurs as soon as they are posted...TRR used to be fun
