This one's got me confused -- its got aged brass HW (which would indicate Fall) but blue edge paint (which would indicate spring)
Anyone ever see a F04 Grey with blue edge paint or a S04 with brass HW?

Things weren't always exact back then, some crossover wouldn't be surprising IMO.
I’m not sure because photos can be deceiving, but the edge paint may not be as blue as the S/S 04.. or it might look less blue because of lighting or angle. Certainly the blue edges don’t show unless photographed straight on.
Here’s the blue showing on my City and Messenger. Certainly not obvious unless looking for it, but definitely blue.

I had the same thought you did - that the edge paint was thinner & less prominent than S04, but then I looked back at pics of my old Purse & First & it looks just as thin.
Are there fewer F04 greys that we never noticed the same blue edge paint before?
Or is F04 grey slightly darker than S04 & when combined w/darker HW, the edge paint is less noticeable? 🤷🏼♀️

I haven’t seen the F/W 04 in real life. Pictures of the leather all look the same as the S/S to me. Maybe the very slight difference between edge coating was Bal’s effort to make buyers think they were different. Not much, but would have been nice if they’d taken the trouble to do it for the back to back seasons of duplicate Truffle and Rouille. Both those drove me crazy trying to see a difference. 
I don’t even know if the difference in edge paint is subtle. The details of the MU Pouch are so much smaller than a Purse or First, its hard to tell if it really is thinner or just more to scale. You are right of course. I love every early gray including the 05. Spent a ridiculous amount of time lately, trying to find those. Finally did, with a lot of help from friends! 
I looked back in the Reference library & was surprised to find that there aren’t any pics identified as F04 grey. Maybe we all just assumed they didn’t have edge paint since we never saw one 🤷🏼♀️
