I am curious if anybody has had any issues with the Palm Springs p.m. straps pulling out of the canvas at the top of the bag from stress? I purchased the p.m. yesterday and brought it to the s.a. and manager's attention this pm seemed to be sewn incorrectly, they said if I had any issues in the next year or two that they would repair it for free so long as I wasn't overloading it, I told them let's be real I don't think you could really overloaded it's pretty small, and they agreed... thoughts anyone? I did take photos of all of it and time stamped on them as of the day that I purchased it. View attachment 4022987

The same thing happened to me and my store said mine was defective. It looked exactly like yours though.

Not sure what to do, I dont have any problem with using it for a few months and then having them repair it, but my real concern would be the canvas tearing... then I would definitely want a new bag and I know that can be difficult sometimes. I wish that I would have just made them order another one but it already took two weeks to get this particular one. Wouldn't it be funny/sad if they just sent me the bag that they found defective in your case LOL...

LoL yes! That would be so sad. It was after I wore it for a 3 week period. I actually had to send two of them back and unfortunately finally gave up. The first one was because the canvas was actually cracking and the second one was the problem you are having. I would definitely take it in. It’s worth a try. We spend too much money on these bags for things like they to be happening... I’ll try and see if I can find some pictures of mine.

I would definitely be curious to see them. I think the quality issues are really sad, makes me wonder why I continue to be so obsessed with some of these bags LOL. Moreover I kind of hate it that I always feel like I'm putting them out and wanting something addressed. If I were an SA or Mngr I would never sell a bag that has an obvious issue. It's really pretty irritating. This bag was made in France which makes me more reluctant to give it up I guess. Stupid yeah?

I feel the same way! I’ve actually been sticking to vintage LV. The only new bags that I have is a nano noe and a speedy b 25. It seems that every new bag I have ever bought from them has stitching problems so I kind of gave up for the time being. ‍♀️

Yes. I bought it when it first came out and regret not checking it. I guess I was in the [emoji7] land. Mine is still the same and I use it a lot on the weekends.
I am curious how long you have had yours? Right now I am leaning towards having it addressed asap. Because who knows... in a year my SA or more important store manager could be gone. The fact that they told me they would repair at their cost ad long as it hadn't been overloaded makes me nervous. It's small, and I don't see how it could be.

I bought mine in early 2016. Date code is TR0186. The left side is getting bad, but the right side is fine. I normally have my wallet, mini ipad, keys, phone and sometimes a bottle of water. I do need to get mine looked at. if it bothers you, I personally would get it addressed. Here is mine

Thank you for answering. Your seems to holding up alright with the loose stitching. I am going to take it back in and explain to them again that I concerned about it. I am afraid that the threads will either pull out or cut the canvas, or both I guess, which would render it irreparable. It just seems like it shouldn't be that way, if they tell me again the will repair it or replace it in a year or two as they stated when I picked it up... then I may let it go. I wish that they had more than just the one I purchased. I don't want to be stressed about it, but I am. Mainly because I haven't ever really returned an item that was truly defective. Warranty issues seem to be hit or miss. I haven't even used it. Though I think it is more craftsmanship. I will post again when I more news.

I LOVED this bag! But after much thought, I realized the PM is a much better fit for me. My concerns were that it will look “dated” after a few years once the whole mini backpack fad is over, and that I can never fully enjoy it bc of the issues I’ve had (and read about)...but ultimately, it just didn’t fit my lifestyle. Even though I don’t carry much I feel that for a backpack, I would want to be able to use it as such therefore needing more space than the mini. Plus I think having it in the PM size will allow it to stand the test of time.

Hope that all made sense ‍♀️

Can the pm be worn on one shoulder or does it slip off?
