Very nice photo! I totally agree with you, while the old model is pretty and great size having more vachetta I just see how the bottom can be problematic, it stains easily and also somehow I noticed the bottom part often becomes misshapen and loses its structure. Probably not a big deal but the new model solves that problem. The thing they sacrifice is the pocket, hardly fits my new iPhone and the old one didn’t fit at all.
BTW, I just sprayed my vachetta with Apple guard , we will see how that works since normally I stay away from any vachetta cause I love it clean and light.

Yes, I definitely agree, that pocket is so tiny! Sadly, my Galaxy doesn't fit
I'm just going to use it for keys or lipsticks.

Awesome! I actually just decided to go for it and I purchased one too! Your's looks great on you! I have the old model GM, but I still purchased this one bc I love the fact that I can place it down in shopping baskets, etc. and not worry about getting the bottom dirty! View attachment 3926804

congrats on your new purchase, you may want to keep your older model Montsouris for when carrying something heavier, the new model may not wear as well as the older model since the older model holds weight on the vachetta leather instead of on the canvas.

Joining the club with my vintage Montsouris PM mini backpack! The size is perfect for weekend errands and I love the length of the straps. I ended up selling my Palm Springs mini, as I actually prefer the Montsouris PM. The Montsouris PM holds more than the PS mini, and is easier to wear as a backpack due to its shorter straps. The PS mini works best as a cross-body, whereas the Montsouris PM is the perfect mini backpack, imho. For reference, I am 5'7" and wearing the Montsouris PM with the straps at their longest setting in the mod shot.

The print on the canvas may start peeling as we’ve seen on tPF repeatedly, so I would stick with the classic.
