Has anybody here experienced cracking on the flap of your favorite MM?

I have a 3 1/2 year old bag that didn’t get too much use, I let it sit for a couple years so it can patina beautifully before I put it in normal rotation.

I sent mine in to be assessed when I found these tiny cracks starting to form at the flap, I’m afraid they’re going to tell me there’s nothing they can do about it.

what are your thoughts,?
I love my bag but I’m scared to use it now because I feel like the cracks will get bigger

When I went in to pick up my DE Favorite MM in March/April the SA offered to and I asked for them in both prints. They took a v. long time to arrive (8-12 weeks) but it’s also the first time I’ve ever ordered “repair pieces” so I’m not sure if that’s the norm. When I came in to pick them up the SA processing the payment asked if I owned the Felicie but at that point I’d just paid for them, so I don’t know if the first SA wasn’t supposed to place the order or should’ve followed a specific protocol before ordering/offering. From what I’ve heard on the forum CS will not order them. Hope that helps clarify!

I always leave my bags in the passenger seat overnight (in the garage). My favorite mm was pretty warm in the morning when I brought it inside the other day, and it was soooo smooth. The heat irons everything out.

Lol I was like oh well the purse will froze and it’ll be fixed. Then realized not everyone has cold garages. I’m in the Midwest.

I have mine in monogram since 2 years and there is no crease. I use the bag on weekends and vacation and only store it stuffed and not empty. And I avoid folding the flap too much when I open it, so that it stays flat as much as possible.

Yes. I purchased mine a little over a year ago and I have the same crease. I do wear it a lot also though so that’s probably why. I took it to Louis Vuitton and they said regular wear and tear. I say it’s poor construction. They placed a some type of plastic material halfway up between the canvas and the lining (under the magnet) and the crease forms where the plastic ends. So I really only wear it very casually now.

Happened to my almost 2 year old bag and it happened on both sides of where the flap opens, took it to LV and they gave me store credit or I could get same bag but I didn’t want to have to deal with that issue again so I took the store credit
