This might be a stupid question but since LV changed the canvas on the favorite,does anyone notice it looks more dull? My DE fav from 2015 is vibrant and shiny still and the canvas is thicker. My sis in laws bag felt flimsy in comparison, and the canvas wasn’t as dark. I’ve seen some on YouTube like this too

I have the new canvas version. I've never had the older DE canvas to compare with. As I've only started LV a year ago so all my stuff is the matte canvas don't have any shiny version apart from a preloved pochette OM that's super shiny in comparison. But I find it too hard. I like this new canvas think is suppose to help with cracking as well with it being more flexible and pliable. Time will tell.

That makes sense. Hopefully it doesn’t crack but has anyone’s bags from 2016 onward had the creasing issue? Mine has it but very minor. Wonder if the new bags have it too

I purchased the zippy coin purse from the blossom collection and I thought the same thing about the canvas. I commented on it in the blossoms thread. I thought maybe it looked dull to me due to the shiny black blossom pattern or they used a different type canvas so the blossom design would adhere better, idk. But I know what you mean, the canvas is a little different : )

My zippy blossom is def darker

I got a Damier MM at the LV inside Neiman Marcus at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA if anyone is still looking! I had to put my name on the waitlist but got the call in less than a week that one was available.

what would you do.... i could possibly snag one from the website or wait on the list with my sa...... my sa was like "ill call IF" one comes in. i think he was salty i returned the mono he ordered bc i changed mine for DE.

Had the SA show me how to loop the strap, bought a key pouch and went home. Now, when I took the bag out of the box today noticed that the strap where it loops was cracked, split apart. The only person who touched the strap was SA so I’m taking the bag back but was wondering if this happened to any one else?

...so I received new Favorite pm (made in 2018). LV gave me zero problems when replacing my previous purchase. Ekhm, however....I don’t love the new canvas (I suspect this applies only to bags made in 2018?) it’s so soft that the bag is all distorted when empty, has zero shape. The canvas seems so much softer than the bag I previously had, which was returned due to a faulty strap, and if I had known about it then I would have kept that bag because it’s canvas was more stiff.
I think I’ll end up returning this one too which is a shame because I like the design :sad:
Can anyone else see the difference between bags made in 2017 and 2018?
