...so I received new Favorite pm (made in 2018). LV gave me zero problems when replacing my previous purchase. Ekhm, however....I don’t love the new canvas (I suspect this applies only to bags made in 2018?) it’s so soft that the bag is all distorted when empty, has zero shape. The canvas seems so much softer than the bag I previously had, which was returned due to a faulty strap, and if I had known about it then I would have kept that bag because it’s canvas was more stiff.
I think I’ll end up returning this one too which is a shame because I like the design
Can anyone else see the difference between bags made in 2017 and 2018?
I'm in a minority on here but I prefer my canvas soft. Don't really like the hard/ stiff version canvas of my old mono pochette acessoires. My favourite MM DE is the soft/ lighter version but I never carry it empty so the destortion doesn't bother me. I stuff it when storing. It's fine when I put things in. It moulds better to my body when wear crossbody too.
You should do what best for you at the end of the day. 100% return if your not entirely happy.

Hi! Has anyone traveled with this bag? I don’t mean on plane or through the airport, but like went sightseeing, etc with this bag? I am debating buying the Palm Springs Mini, but I intentionally bought the Favorite to bring on trips. I’m second guessing of course so I’m just wondering if anyone who has traveled with this finds themselves needing more space for anything more than the essentials/what you usually carry. Thanks in advance!

I went to Florida w mine and went shopping and out to dinner and walked the beach with mine and it was great. I ended up using a couple of pouches I got w makeup from the department store to organize along with a cles bc my other LV slgs were too bulky imo.

It's great for sightseeing. I had no problems with mine did the job I wanted. I was able to fit a mini compact umbrella, had to carry one as it was monsoon season when i went to Singapore took Rosalie coin purse used as a small wallet, tissues, lipstick, mobile phone and small folded recycle bag. Still had a bit of room to spare.

I have mine from 2015 and I see the difference. the new ones look so cheaply made. its bad. mine is super thick and shiny and vibrant. the new ones look so dull and flimsy. I don't like them. find a pre-loved one.

I think for the type of bag it is, it should be more stiff to maintain its structure. the one my sis in law has already is showing major creasing and shes only had it a month because the canvas is so soft it easily gets wrinkled. and she really takes care of her stuff. so I can only imagine with time how that bag is gonna look.

do
I am really sorry if this post does not fit here, as I am completely new to this forum, but does anyone know what might be the best place to sell a basically untouched Favorite MM (puchased in December 2017)? Personally I feel that Vestiaire Collective takes a bit too much in commission but as a buyer, one must like that the items are authenticated.

Anyways, I am sad to say goodbye to my Favorite, but I am majorly fearing the creasing issue that I have seen reading through some of these comments!
the creasing thing isn't a big deal. every single bag has some kind of issue. at least with the creasing it doesn't affect the wear of the bag at all. I'd be more worried for bags like the pochette metis where it is prone to cracking and tearing, or the melie which has major corner wear issues to the point where there is a hole in the bag. this only has a crease and only potentially. it has no other issues and ive had mine 3 years and wear it constantly. don't sell it. it is a great bag and one of the few lv bags that are really durable.

Oh no. Mine still looks brand new. Had mine 4 months well used, squished at theme parks, bashed around through crowds bought it specifically not to have to baby it. The other bags I have Im more careful with. Yes the canvas is thin and can dent easy when empty but it never leaves a permanent inprint or crease it easily goes back to straight and crisp and straight looking when I put things in. I just brush my hand over the flap and it all neatens up just nice. Maybe because put things in at least 3/4 full I don't have shape problem with it.

Does any one know how much more a Pochette Metis can fit compared to the Favorite MM? I’m debating my next bag for summer. I’m torn between the Speedy B 25 in DE and the Pochette Metis. I have a feeling I’ll end up getting both at some point this year. But trying to choose which one first I guess. With 2 kids (2 & 5) I’m trying to also figure out how much I’d have to haul of theirs or if I have them use their own mini back pack. Ha

I had/have all three. The Pochette Metis had to go back due to quality issues. Still have the Favorite Mm and Speedy b 25 (purchased after the PM went back). Given what you wrote, I would suggest the speedy b de. Since I’ve gotten it, I have used it daily. It’s just such an easy/no worry bag. With the PM you have to worry about the little hands and the vachetta. The little ones do like to grab innocently enough. The DE is pretty kid proof. GLD.

Would you mind if I asked what the date of your PM was and what the quality issues were? I just received mine yesterday and am debating returning. I'm just so worried about quality issues. I know how OCD I am and I would be so upset if there were to be an issue after spending so much on a bag! Thanks!

I had the original model. The canvas was much stiffer. The canvas started to split, glaze had a crack down center, allowing for canvas to separate. Also, small cracks at fold at top. Keep in mind, should you have any issues with it, LV will take care of it. I have had nothing but good experiences (thanks to my SA) with LV taking care of issues. Having said that, if you are OCD, you may not enjoy using the bag if you are constantly checking to see if issues come up. HTH

Thank you it does! This one was purchased online so I don't have a relationship with any SA's. I wonder if online will still be helpful if there are issues?
