Well, I finally got the assessment results back and they determined the crease was due to “normal wear” and that is it normal for the crease to occur. I guess that is the quality of LV purses that they are proud of. I’m no longer supporting LV. Also it does not make sense if others were able to get an exchange or store credit from the same issue... is there anything I can do?

Mine looks exactly like hers and I've had mine 1 year exactly. I have a few other bags so I don't use it that much, which really annoys me that it happened.

The crease on mine started to form in about 1 year also and I hardly ever wore it! It is awful.
 
Yeah that's basically what the SAs told me would happen. It sucks that it happened like that. My Favorite PM looks exactly like that with the crease. *sigh* oh well. I don't think there is anything else we can do? Unless someone else knows something.

Thanks for the update. I was going to make a special trip to send mine out but now I know it's really not worth it. I'll be cautious when I buy another item from LV. I already have a handful of handbags from LV and Gucci and the Favorite is the first bag to have issues.

Link is if you are in the U.S. I was informed if you contact client services they can provide you an email address to send them pictures of your bag instead of making the trek to a store. Hope you have better luck than I did.

I am definitely unsatisfied with my assessment results, especially since they couldn't give me a reason for the crease. No explanation was given at all for their determination. This means LV does not truly back their products of "high quality and craftsmanship". They don't care about their customers. They just want our money. I just sent a complaint to LV via email about the whole experience and will hopefully get a better response about my not so normal "normal wear and tear" BS from Repairs. I won't let this go easily with so much $$$$ spent on LV.

it sometimes depends on the SA, some SAs just mean, some SAs are more easy going, it's kinda of luck of the draw what they say or the price of repair they quote to you if need repairs.

I wonder if the creasing has something to do with the way the flap is pulled open????? That area above the magnet would bend as you lift the flap of the bag. Not that it excuses the the bag creasing in any way!!! The design should allow for that type of “wear” as that’s the normal way to open this type of bag. I’m going to be very careful with how I open my Fav. when I use her.

I’m so sorry for all of you who’ve experienced this issue; it really is unacceptable.... And I also wanted to thank those of you who are sharing your experiences with this bag and helping the rest of us out by keeping us informed. Y’all are awesome!!!!

I’m trying to decide what new wallet to get to go with my Favorite MM. Torn between the Mini Pouchette Assesories, Victorine wallet, and he zippy multicartez. I have a large wallet, but wanting something smaller. Also, does the 4 key holder fit a key fob and 1 or 2 other keys? Thanks in advance for your help. Really wanting to make my new Favorite bag my all around go to quick bag for every day hands free carting my kids around. I’ve had it since Christmas and it’s just sitting.
 
if one store says the bag is not defective, keep trying different stores until someone agrees with you. don't mention that you tried asking at other stores.

i would start with the store where i purchased the bag, and then take it from there.

I’ve been using a “new to me” system and so far I love it. I have my large Zippy wallet with all of the usual junk (credit cards, loyalty cards, insurance cards for kids, change, cash, etc...) that I carry in my larger bags but I use a key pouch to hold my necessities: license, 1 CC, my insurance card, cash and my car fob. This way if I need to run some where quickly, I can just grab the key pouch, stuff it in my pocket/smaller bag and go. So far, this has been working out great for me.

Thank you! I have a key pouch right now that I’ve been using to keep my key fob, drivers license, cc and a little cash. I can usually stick that in my pocket and go or stick it in the diaper bag. I just got the Favorite and am hoping now that my daughter and son are getting older I’ll be able to leave the diaper bag behind soon and just carry a small bag for every day things this spring/Summer.

Hi guys, new to the forum and Favorite club :) I only saw the posts on here about the flap crease after I purchased it and I'm still within the exchange period, but after a bit of thought (and a not-so-helpful response from LV) I think I'll just keep it and take extra care of it because I love the style and versatility. Thanks to those that posted tips about how to store it and protect the gold plate from scratching!
