Awesome! I'll be taking mine in tomorrow and will keep everyone updated!

So I took my creased favorite to my local LV today. The SA wasn't familiar with the defect and asked could it be due to how it was stored. I told her no, and that based on my research online, it's a well known defect several owners have experienced. She wasn't aware of such a defect, so she took photos of the purse, took information from the receipt and will be submitting it to their quality control department who handles all such issues for the United States. She said the email will go out Monday & I should be hearing from them Wednesday latest. It seems to be the standard protocol from what I have read on line. Keeping my fingers crossed she took good photos and they approve it! She did mention that there would be no way to repair the bag so if it is deemed a defect they will replace it. Till Wednesday!

I just wish LV would finally acknowledge the defect.- it's an ongoing issue for over a year. When I took mine in I showed my SA pics of other purses with creases- and really there was no denying it when so many people have this issue. My wonderful SA never heard of the crease (I believe her) but when I showed her the pics she was shocked. She exchanged it for me. If my crease comes back again, I will get store credit.

Couldn't agree more!! They ought to gracefully accept this flaw.
The feigned surprise is getting to be ludicrous now...

The SAs at individual stores just might not have seen anyone bring in a creased Favorite to their store/them. I don't think that's them being untruthful. Just because we're on Purse Forum reading about bags and looking at pictures doesn't mean they are. I would imagine more high-volume, touristy stores have seen more, but for example my store in Minnesota would likely never have seen it as it's Minnesota and there are probably not a ton of Favorites sold there, you know? I do think the main customer service department/repair people should definitely know by now and immediately allow exchanges. Being the central people who hear about these issues they'd HAVE to be aware at this point and I would have hoped they would have fixed it/addressed it a long time ago.

I emailed customer service not too long ago asking if they'd addressed this issue as I was very interested in purchasing this bag but was scared about the crease. It took them over a week to respond and they didn't answer me, just said to go to a store and an SA would be happy to show me the bag. So I took that as a no, that they haven't done anything to fix it. And that is why I'll be purchasing the Eva instead, unfortunately.

^^ I believed my SA when she said she had never seen this earlier this year. After all this time though, and numerous complaints in store an internal memo should have been sent to all mgrs at all LV's to make them aware of the issue and advise them to exchange the bag as its a known defect. I know we are fortunate to have TPF and I don't expects SA's to be on here so I am not upset with them for not knowing (unless they have a dismissive attitude as though it's ur fault without even looking into it)- I wasn't even upset with corporate at first as it was a new purse with a new issue, but it's been ongoing now for quite some time with numerous complaints and they should deal with it. The fault lies with them not the SA and too often we customers have to jump through multiple hoops to get them to rectify an issue.

Yes, that's true, I suppose. You'd think they would let stores know about the issue if it is so widespread.

Hi there!!
So sorry to hear about your bag!
Ive experienced the beginning of that horrible creasing in both my Favourites!!(ive posted about that on previous pages here)
Yes, i was allowed to exchange by bags eventually, but it wasn't too easy or playing pleasant a feat!!
May i know which canvas you have??
Mine were the Damiers.
Good luck !! Hope they offer you a new bag or an exchange!!

So, I heard back today. There is a defect, but they will NOT replace it without a receipt. I got this bag preloved. :( I argued to no avail....I even called corporate. I am livid! I have bought some new from LV so I am in their system. They sure don't stand by their products! I asked for my case to be moved up the chain, and a supervisor at corporate is supposed to call me in the next few days. I feel as if i'm being treated like a thief! We'll see if the supervisor will do anything.
