It occurs due to the construction of the bag...some take longer than others. I've read the strength of the magnet may have something to do with how quickly it appears, which makes sense since it pulls on that reinforcement strip that ultimately causes the crease in the first place. My magnet was a good magnet and never came open unless I opened it, which is what I would want. Maybe those with weaker magnets are the ones not seeing this happen, or happen as quickly. Thank you! I have put tissues between the magnet and the flap. Fingers crossed that it won`t happen to my bag .:wondering

Could anyone please post pictures about how they stuff/store the Favorite in ordner to avoid the crease? I want to do as much as possible to avoid it from the beginning :panic:

My SA said that as long as I don't "over stuff" the bag it shouldn't happen. He said over stuffing the bag bends the flap and with the magnet pulling it puts stress on the bag which causes the flap to crease. I am not sure if that is true or not, but I have been trying not to put a lot of things in the bag plus storing it like everyone is saying .

So I ended up returning a favorite PM because I didn't think the magnet was strong enough. When I returned it at the store, the SA said its not a magnet - just weight to keep the bag closed....that makes no sense to me. In the Favorite MM I have, it is clearly a magnet and I can flip the bag upside down and it doesn't open. But now the SA is saying it's just a weight...

I call BS. But was wondering if maybe she was right and I'm out of the know.

I'm pretty sure it's a magnet. When I purchased mine in January, I asked to see several bags to compare magnet strength and the SA helped me go through some herself.

Sometimes I feel that we as LV lovers know more about their handbags and issues than the actual sales associates and even the people at the 866 numbers 😕😕 .. Any who !! Does anybody know if it's true that they have "reinforced" the flap in order to stop this crease issue.

I would say no. When I took my bag in and my SA told me I could exchange for a new one or get credit to go towards something else, I told her I loved the bag, but didn't want to chance it happening again. She never mentioned anything about the flap being reinforced or any redesign that may help prevent that on the 2016 models.

Darn !!! This bag is so flippin cute though 😭😭 .. I want it so badly but that crease 😕😕😕 .. Sometimes I feel like just getting the Pochette NM instead of lusting over this one ☹️☹️

If it's any consolation, I've had my bag for several months & carry it just about every day since it's convenient & I have no crease or any indication of one showing up. I'm using it right now & nothing.

Mother's Day haul with a mon monogram neverfull as well. Couldn't resist the DA print and went for the MM size in the favorite. I also bought the Mautto mini lobster clip and mini o ring to avoid constant unleashing of the strap. Just placed my order for the mini hook from Mautto...
Has started using my favourite PM since last week and today I am carrying it to work.

Decided to get the mini hook to have easy access to hook/unhook the strap while I am rushing for my work in the busy morning.

Has read about the crease forming on the Favorite.
Keeping my fingers crossed that it will not happen to mine.. have been trying to stuff/place bubble wrap between the flap while storing it. Loving this as it is very versatile. I also just received a new wallet, Victorine, which I can use it to go easily with my small bags like Favorite, Alma and mini bagpack
