+ 1. My SA allowed me to order the DE and DA replacement straps from the Eva to be used on my Favorites. I do wear wool coats in the winter so the longer straps will work out fine. I also ordered a replacement strap from the Hoxton to be used with my Favorite MM (Monogram and DE) and I love it. The strap is a tad bit thicker and is adjustable.

Good to know thank u. Did u pay $105 on the Eva straps?

Hi wanted to ask you Favorite owners, Pochette NM or Favorite PM??

I want a crossbody Mono canvas bag, and love the look of the Favorite PM on me (I'm short). I know the magnetic closure is considered a "con" but I'll secure my belongings inside. And I love how you can dress it up using just the gold chain!

The Pochette is nice & casual, zips up, and much cheaper! I will of course need a longer strap, but I won't be buying the LV one for $200-300, so let's leave that out of the equation. Plus I already have the famous gold chain from eBay. Any advice maybe from owners of both bags?? Thank you [emoji4]

^ I have both and love both. I use my favorite mm often but for traveling I would have to say it depends where I am going. Generally the pochette nm is the best choice for safety. The favorite is prettier but the pochette is more secure; that is really the bottom line. If security isn't a concern, the. Definitely go for favorite! :)

Mmm good point. I would be using it for traveling a lot because that's what I'm doing now. I'm not in crowded areas constantly, but I do bike around & take subway / bus / trains. Thanks for your advice!! [emoji4]

^ well, with that in mind I would say go for the pochette. I just returned from Kuala Lumpur which is a pretty safe city; there is some pickpocketing but nothing on the level of major South American cities. I took the delightful, Cluny MM, pochette and favorite. The favorite was really unnecessary and I wore it basically only to hit the breakfast buffet and to go to the club lounge--completely unnecessary--I packed it as an afterthought and regretted it. The pochette would have done just as well. The only reason I didn't use the pochette was that I always use it for passports and travel docs and I was too lazy to take those things out and just shoved it in the safe. I used the Cluny for my meetings and shopping and I wore my delightful for a couple of business meetings that required me taking my Nikon (which weighs far more than I would like).

Alternatively, you could go for the twinset and have the best if both worlds plus a bit of added room. Oh, I also took my newest travel buddy, a Ferragamo crossbody Fiamma which has a zipper and a very secure flap which comes up over the zipper. If I am going to be in a crowded area or cities with a more serious pickpocketing problem this is my go to bag.

I love them both but for your peace of mind when on public transportation and biking and just enjoying yourself....I would go for the pochette. Oh, and get an Eva strap for it. That is how I use my favorite and pochette. :) HTH!

Wow you have great bags! Sometimes I lean more towards Favorite and then back to Pochette. [emoji38] I was hoping to ask for the Favorite strap replacement for the Pochette, guessing it's cheaper, if the SA will sell it to me that way. I like the length of that strap. Never had an Eva but I hear that one is long. Thanks for the extra info!!

Thank you! Just a quick note on the straps...it isn't the length that was an issue to me, it is the fact that the favorite's strap doesn't have clips on both sides. One side has a looping part which I don't find particularly secure or of great quality. I never wore mine. I bought the Eva strap and use it with the favorite or the pochette. I think it was 80 SGD, so about $100 USD.

Sometimes it is best to consider our lifestyle to see if the design we like will fit in with the lives we lead. GLD! :)
