I saw my SA today and remembered to ask her about Austin, she said April 29th and more than likely there will be something special for the grand opening like a scarf etc. She said they always do something and she regretted not getting the scarf at their own boutique grand opening. So have your sis mark her calendar :happydance:

Hello! Iam new to the forum and am trying to catch up and learn all I can. I too am in Houston and have been shopping with my SA about a year now. When I was in about2 week ago,I overheard the SM telling his customer she should go to Austin for this opening if she wants to get something good. I wasn't sure how it would be viewed by my sa if I asked her about this so I didn't. Can anyone show up to a grand opening? is it invite only? Are chances high to be offered a quota bag. Id like to go but have no info other than a date. any advise is appreciated.

Yea anyone can show up, stock will be good and chances to be offered a qb are pretty good if you intend on switching your purchasing to Austin. I personally wouldn’t if you value your relationship with your current SA.

you have to make the decision to switch buying to Austin? From what I overheard him saying he told her she could get a bag, that he didn't want her to shop with anyone else but it was a good opportunity. are you going? will you be telling your sa? I don't want to offend my sa either as I'm still waiting to get a quota bag.Only have Pic 18 so far.

Wont be going as I value my relationship with my SA. She also told me it’s a good opportunity but there is no reason for me to shop in Austin. I think the SAs may be informing their clients based on their own clients asking about Austin but I don’t think they would be particularly happy with their clients shopping elsewhere. Your SA will be able to see if you purchase anything at any other boutique in the SA so not telling them doesn’t mean they won’t find out.

I definitely would not want to do it behind her back. But I do want a bag and have been waiting, maybe I will bring it up next time I am in. How long have you been shopping at Houston and how often do you get offers?

I will be visiting Houston at the end of the month and am planning to visit the Hermes store. Is anyone willing to connect me with a great SA and I ill be spending a lot o of time there my grandkids are moving so I am looking to build a relationship. Thanks

I did ask my SA and she said no worries - go try your luck. I know she wouldn’t be super excited but she said it would eat into my quota. (I haven’t been offered anything this year or last year) I did tell her honestly - it’s not like my quota is being threatened anyways since I’m not getting an offer. I got a constance 24 which is pretty but I feel I’ve spent quite a bit and not to have something … I’m not going to play the game. I’ll wait or just go to Paris.

I like the store leader in Houston- he told me the date is April 30th- I would go wait in line if you really want -I’ve understood that the first couple of customers get whatever they want and quota bags are offered off the shelf.
