Montsouris MM, woke up one day & started obsessing over it. Before & after now. I didn't want to spend x amount of $. Found one from 1998 that needed some elbow grease! 
Looks great - How did you get it so clean? I have a Montsouris GM from 1998 with a water mark on the buckle. I would love to know what you did to restore yours.
1st- I Tried the fragrance free baby wipes method, barely saw results.
2nd- Mr. Clean Magic Eraser + Cadillac Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. Better results, I could have stopped there, but not enough to my liking.
**Last Resort**
3rd- Found Angelus Acrylic Leather paint in Vachetta + Cadillac Cleaner/Conditioner.
I didn't want to have to paint it, but happy how it turned out. I'll post more pics once I get a chance.

Hi ladies. I just purchased a 28 year old Louis Vuitton Noe about 2 weeks ago. It was disgustingly dirty! It also looked like it was never conditioned. But it was inexpensive at the time and I wanted to try giving it a second chance of life. I need some suggestions. The leather parts have many cracks. No rips. The coated canvas and interior is in perfect condition. But the leather needs loving. Does anyone have suggestions in regards to the dried out leather? I have conditioned it using Apple Care Brand. I know I can't make the cracks disappear, but is there a way of making them look more subtle? 
I have a 1989 French Company Monceau, and honestly, it's seen better days. But I just love the style, and mine still has its keys, no pocket stickiness, etc., and the price was right. I still carry it and still get compliments, and someone who was better at restoration than I am could probably spruce it up a little more, but LV won't work on it as the canvas is beginning to crack.
It looks fine from a distance, and it's great that it's held up so long, even with its issues, but I don't know how much more use I'll really get from it.

That's 100% true. The surviving vintage bags are those that have been well-cared for. There is no secret.
