Montsouris MM, woke up one day & started obsessing over it. Before & after now. I didn't want to spend x amount of $. Found one from 1998 that needed some elbow grease! View attachment 3458245
OK, I know this is an older thread BUT....i "refurbed" a very old alma that had definitely seen better days. The canvas is perfect, zipper is perfect and inside is near perfect. It was my first. I have had it for 10 years and it was well loved when I bought it. I do not have before picts (doh!) but I used the Angelus Vachetta colored paint on her. I want to know HONESTLY, if this is ok to carry in public. If you look close, you can probably tell, since I painted over the edging on the handles. I tried to leave the edging and paint around it but it looked poor, so I went back over it. I plan to use a polish on it to bring a bit of shine to it, but she is drying (curing) now.alma1.jpg alma1.jpg alma2.jpg alma3.jpg alma4.jpg 20180410_171133.jpg

You did a wonderful job! Totally carry her!:smile:

I'm inheriting a vintage Noe soon.
It's the Noe without the vachetta that goes around the base.
It does have the vachetta bottom and pieces on each side for the strap.
I really only see the Noes that have a lot of vachetta.

I'm trying to get an idea of the age of the bag..so, when were these in production or when did they switch over to the full vachetta Noe?
And do they typically have date codes?
