Reference Taking Care of your Prada - PROTECT, CLEAN, REPAIR, etc

Hi everyone
Is anyone experiencing fading on the gold hardware of their Prada Saffiano bags or accessories? If so, did you have it repaired or replaced?

I have the Saffiano Lux Double-Zip Tote in blue and wore it for about 8 months straight and the leather wore and rubbed off (not happy about that) but the hardware has stayed perfect. I actually came on here to see about repair

My very first Prada Saffiano wallet has 2 long and deep scratches... I don't know how it happened. I only had it for a month.



Is there any salvation for it? Or will the scratch be permanent...? :cry:

I got this exact one. It sits on the bottom of your purse, has lots of compartments and is great if you like to change purses regularly, you just pull it right out and put it in the next purse. Genius!

Neeed helppp. My first time here, and first time to buy Prada last thursday and i just used it yesterday and i just find out that the leather has scratches i think because of the bag tag? Its a soft calf leather. Nero bucket bag. Im not sure if they will allow exhange for this. I will attach picture.

For all I know, I don't think that the tag has caused such marks since the leather looks worn out rather than scratched. Was the bag brand new or used when you bought it? Who was the seller? Usually you'll find marks like this on used leather products when the leather has been rubbed from the same spots over time.


I think you could get away with that by using a tinted leather creme or wax (the ones made for black leather) to darken up the worn spots. Exchange could be difficult since this isn't necessarily a mistake made by the seller, and proving that the marks were there before the purchase is always difficult. Someone wiser would propably be able to give a better opinion on that matter.

I have a Prada wallet from 2002. It's in great condition, but it needs some TLC. Can I send it to Prada to be fixed with a fee? Otherwise what would you suggest? Shoemaker?

Hi. I just bought a red Prada nylon rBR4253 and I noticed a small (dot) snag. I do not even remember where I might have gotten the snag. Has anyone here ever experienced that? and I have only been using mine for a few months and I noticed the bottom leather part has already shown wear. It is my first ever designer bag and I baby it a little bit.

Its brand new bag i bought from sydney prada.I Went back to the store and showed them the bag. I waited for 1 week to get the decision if they will give me a refund or exchange.. i was very lucky that my wish was granted!!
I got these instead.. very very happy indeed!
