Just wants to out this out there to others that are researching this leather: I personally prefer Tadelakt to Swift. My swift bag got corner wear almost immediately, and it does get scratches, perhaps not quite as easily as Tadelakt, but Tadelakt is stiffer and swift slouches easily, too. Just FYI.
Yesterday I brought home the most beautiful Tadelakt K32 in Etoupe and my wonderful SA incidentally told me that it was a push order.She brought over a swatch of the Tadelakt and then she scratches it and I mean really scratched it and then shows me how to literally rub and buff out the scratch. She also mentioned that this is one of the easiest leathers to treat at the H spa. So I said Yes! to it with confidence. I’m a huge fan of its shiny smooth appearance and the depth of saturation of color on this leather. It looks so classic and elegant, I don’t think I will ever tire of it.

Hi I know its been a while but I have just been offered a constance mini in tadelakt elope. I was wondering if you could give me some info on the leather - wear/tear. How delicate it is . I want this bag for more of any everyday use and I am afraid tadelakt is similar to chanel lambskin (NEEDS TO BE BABIED) Please help!! Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!
I took a Tadelakt K25 home around this time last year and it’s holding up well. I love smooth leather and Tadelakt takes on the color beautifully. It’s NOT scratch resistant so you’ll most likely get a few minor scratches here and there. However, this leather somehow repairs itself with time. Check out my review/video on my IG (UCDChick08). My K had 3 deep scratches and they became very faint after a few weeks. I know many people are afraid of Tadelakt because it’s a smooth leather, but it’s actually not that delicate. HTH. Just an update, My Tadelakt bearn compact in blue izmir is still holding up beautifully. I got this weird blue ball point pen type of stain on the front (I think it was oil from my hair pomade but not sure), somehow it magically disappeared on its own after a few weeks.
With every day use, the leather has become even shinier and buttery buttery soft. SO soft and smooth its insane. I really love this wallet and leather. I am careful to not get scratches on it though, there are some small indentations but nothing crazy. Overall an A+ for this leather.

I use my tadelakt rarely but even so, I’ve been pleased with it. That sheen is phenomenal and rubbing with your fingers seems to buff out any minor issues.
Hello fellow Forumers! I was wondering if any of you have had experience with / photos of an older Tadelakt item? I know it’s a newer leather, from 2008 it seems, but I’m curious to see how this leather has been aging so far? How has the experience been long term?
I’m seriously considering a bag in Tadelakt, and like how it’s been described in some of my research. Some of my favorite leathers are Chevre, Evergrain, and Box. Chevre for the way it holds color, it’s glossy grain, and it’s lightweight nature. Evergrain for it’s velvety touch, It’s contradictory matte yet shiny finish, and it’s flop factor. Box for it’s sheen and patina, it’s durability and it’s dependability. Tadelakt intrigues me because it seems to have the rich hold on color like Chevre, the matte/shiny/soft quality like Evergrain, yet the ridged nature of box! Sounds dreamy, but I’m sure it has its downsides too, would love to see how they all play out visually.

I’ve been offered a black Constance 18 in taledak, with ombré lizard H snap. The bag is to die for and it stole my heart right away. Can anybody post pictures of Constance bags in this leather? Will it develop water blisters if it gets wet? Is it easy to repair at the spa?
