Hi I know its been a while but I have just been offered a constance mini in tadelakt elope. I was wondering if you could give me some info on the leather - wear/tear. How delicate it is . I want this bag for more of any everyday use and I am afraid tadelakt is similar to chanel lambskin (NEEDS TO BE BABIED) Please help!! Any info would be appreciated! Thanks! My recently purchased 23 cm potiron Constance has been confirmed as Tadelakt by the leather specialist at my H boutique. I just checked the tag and it says "calfskin." I haven't taken her out yet, but the leather is the most beautiful dark orange and I can tell it will soften up. The bag is made up of many layers of leather and several compartments. Where the flap folds back to open and close is going to wrinkle and soften up, it's going to be a favorite for me. I'm afraid more for the hardware scratching, but it's palladium, not gold, so I should just worry more about fingerprints and use the beautiful bag, right!!!

The bag was purchased at the NY sale last month!!! Otherwise, I would have never been able to get this holy grail bag in any size, let alone the 23!

Perhaps reading this thread would give you a good idea.Hello fellow Forumers! I was wondering if any of you have had experience with / photos of an older Tadelakt item? I know it’s a newer leather, from 2008 it seems, but I’m curious to see how this leather has been aging so far? How has the experience been long term?
I’m seriously considering a bag in Tadelakt, and like how it’s been described in some of my research. Some of my favorite leathers are Chevre, Evergrain, and Box. Chevre for the way it holds color, it’s glossy grain, and it’s lightweight nature. Evergrain for it’s velvety touch, It’s contradictory matte yet shiny finish, and it’s flop factor. Box for it’s sheen and patina, it’s durability and it’s dependability. Tadelakt intrigues me because it seems to have the rich hold on color like Chevre, the matte/shiny/soft quality like Evergrain, yet the ridged nature of box! Sounds dreamy, but I’m sure it has its downsides too, would love to see how they all play out visually.
Thanks in advanced!

One was posted on this thread here, in case you missed it.I’ve been offered a black Constance 18 in taledak, with ombré lizard H snap. The bag is to die for and it stole my heart right away. Can anybody post pictures of Constance bags in this leather? Will it develop water blisters if it gets wet? Is it easy to repair at the spa?
Thank you!!
totally missed it! Thank you! Wonder how it does with water. One was posted on this thread here, in case you missed it.![]()
