My friend also got married this weekend and had requested me to wear a floor length dress so she wouldn’t be the only one wearing one [emoji23]

So I found my one sequin item, an inexpensive dress from the rack.

Alterations were necessary, I am short, the gown was long. The slit made me look shorter so I had it closed.

So the first time I’ve worn this dress, and honestly the only time I probably will wear it [emoji28]. But with alterations, it came out to $80.

First outing of this new to me Chanel jacket, the lapel wise enough to accommodate the brooch.

I think I may finally have broken in my Louboutins. According to Stylebook I’ve worn them 10 times haha. The spray I’ve been using must have helped. But I am more comfortable and confident in a block heel over a thin heel, so these will remain occasion shoes for me.

I normally wouldn’t have bought a one time only dress, but I made an exemption for my BFF. [emoji4] for $80 it didn’t make a dent in my wardrobe budget, and it was actually a pretty comfy find.

Never say never. You might find yourself wearing the dress more often than you think. I love the color and with your new brooch it’s perfect. Hope you had a good time, you sure looked great!

Thank you!

I’m not sure where else I’d wear it. Most events I attend are afternoon parties so shorter dresses or casual dresses are more appropriate.

I had a blast at my friend’s wedding. I loved how every bit of it was uniquely them.

So for the most part I did get to my $100 or less cpw!

Only one item didn’t reach $100 cpw, which is my diamond tennis bracelet.
I don’t think I’m a diamond tennis bracelet girl, at least not right now.

I was trying to get to $75, but that still needs work.

The ones that didn’t meet my $75 cpw, is my pink Ferragamos belt, my black short Chanel jacket, pearl opera length necklace, a LV bracelet, my LV Fifty-Five watch, and my black pearl pendant.

All will work on getting to the $75 cpw. If I get to the $75 cpw, then I’ll drop it down to $50. [emoji4]

I wanted to wear everything at least once this year, but there were some last minute additions, some travel items, and a few items that didn’t quite fit right or wouldn’t work out weather wise, a total of 16 items I didn’t use.

I’ve neglected this thread because I have been prepping for the dog I had adopted, then spent all my time looking after her.

IMG_1206.jpg

I am happy to report I haven’t bought anything. Not so happy to report I tried different top and bottom combos with not so great results. I blame how sleepy I am on trying to set a schedule for my dog. [emoji28]

In 2017 I had gone home with a pair of black Superga sneakers that my mom had paid for since I had gone to the rack to find her some replacement sandals. So the true ban really started on January first for clothing and shoes. October 8, 2017 started my handbag ban.

So I’ve found two outlets for me: my dog and stamped tags from Coach and LV haha.

That’s the primary push right now to not go clothes and bag shopping.

Anyway, I will show my unsuccessful outfits that all came from my wardrobe.

She is so cute, bake! She is a wonderful distraction from shopping! [emoji190]

Outfits I didn’t like (I won’t repeat these)

This blouse is so cute with trousers. Terrible with skirts. It gets staticky. I might just keep this to wear only with trousers :(

I felt the red of my shirt clashed with the red in the skirt. Felt so bothered by it all day lol.

There has also been a lack of accessories. I need to get back to accessorizing.

I like all your jeans outfits. It’s rare to see those on your thread. I also like the red accessories and your little blue trench. I’m always reluctant to wear coats or jackets over skirts. I feel like they should either be as long as the skirt or only go down to the waist. So I’m curious to know about the secret to make these looks less bulky.

I’ve been wearing jeans when I go out with my dog. She sits on my lap a lot. Perhaps when I know she won’t be too difficult outside that I’ll go back to my skirts and dresses on the weekends.

I don’t know really, I belt my trench where the waist of my skirt is. So it poofs out with my skirt. It probably looks bulky but it was raining and I didn’t care.

The first of my five anything goes purchases!

IMG_1538.jpg

The Tiffany pop up exclusive charm [emoji4]
It was to celebrate my recent raise and all the years DBF and I have been together.

4 more slots to go.

My exemption purchases are the stamped luggage tags I collect, and one SLG and one charm per quarter.

———

On a other note, I can see several items leaving me by the end of the year:
My Chloe scalloped flats (getting worn) the J crew ruffle skirt (faded too much too quickly), Eileen Fisher jeans (getting kind of loose).

I’ll keep them until it bothers me to wear them. Right now, it’s doable. Wear a belt, resole the shoes, don’t wear other blacks with that skirt [emoji23]
