Great job Bake! I was just wondering how you were doing with this over the weekend as I was transitioning my seasonal clothes. I still can't figure out how to make my wardrobe lean in a 4 season climate. I'm sure there are some things I can let go of, or are duplicates. I'll be focusing more on that this spring/summer. After I lost weight I kind of overhauled my wardrobe a bit too much. I am ashamed since I had just read and spent so much time doing the Konmari method. O well!

I was wondering about duplicates during the week. Thanks for posting your calendars! That helps to see how you wear it all. I love it!

Btw, I'm sad about your J Crew shirt. I love mine, too!

Unfortunately January isn’t complete because I had already taken out items off Stylebook when I gave the items away in February. [emoji28] oops.

Hrmmm - do you mean you deleted an item and the outfit it was in, and now you have empty days?
I created a Goodbye category for items and outfits that didn't work. That way they still show on the calendar (and I *know* what didn't work), but it probably skews my CPW, and my Worn History.
My Stylebook is still a work in progress, I'm still trying to figure out how best to use/format it. But I am using it and can say to myself 'Cookie - you already have at least one pair of pants that are a lot like these - Step Away From The Pants.'

Congratulations on losing weight!
Since you have 4 seasons, I think there's only so much you can do.

I think I saw some pinterest pins so there's bloggers on how to have a minimal four season closet. So there's gotta be a way to balance having less but feeling like you're prepared for each season.

I do repeat outfits every week, particularly that Zara floral skirt and maroon Burberry tee. I just try to not wear it on the same day each week. :sweatdrop: Accessorizing should help make it less repetitive too.

Yeah, I deleted the outfit the item was in so it looks like I barely had outfits that month. Looks like I really wore the J Crew shirt and Target tweed jacket a lot in January.

Good idea on the goodbye category! I have a purgatory category for things that may leave but I'm unsure about. lol. But those are mostly accessories, not clothing.

The biggest benefit of Stylebook is knowing what you have so you can step away! Great job!

Still working to get the month of March completed.

In March I bought a dress, that’s item #2.

This month I bought #3, a pair of Burberry Espadrilles.

My Mom is encouraging me to let go of most/all my skirts in favor of dresses that flatter me more. As a bigger sized woman, I suppose I should heed this advice. If I follow one in one out, I can let go of several skirts in favor of more flattering dresses. It’ll exceed my 5 items in a year for sure though. So I might have to figure how I’ll do this or just temporarily break my ban.

For the dress above, I’m letting this skirt go.

I don’t feel too bad about buying espadrilles. I had sold the wedge espadrilles earlier last month, so I had an opening. [emoji4]

I really like the Burberry espadrilles, bake! They’re great for Spring/Summer too. [emoji41]

Love the dress and shoes! Your mother could be right. I like dresses so much more, because they don’t cut me in half. And I don’t always have to figure out what to wear with them. On the other hand, skirts can be more versatile, since you can change the look completely with different tops. Please don’t toss all your pretty skirts! Just find out which ones flatter you the most and keep them.

I bought two more dresses, so two more skirts will have to go. Both are from the Gap.

They’re the oldest and most faded of the skirts, so it’s not so hard to let them go.

IMG_3853.jpg

This second one I feel is more weekend though, maybe more casual Friday with a cardigan.

IMG_3854.jpg

I’m cheating on this one and all 3 dresses go together on item 2 [emoji23]

I also broke my ban after 6 months to get a bag in memory of my late aunt, which is item 4 on my list.

IMG_3899.jpg

DBF also gifted me a charm in memory of my aunt.
IMG_3900.jpg

So far my items this year have been

1. Tiffany & Co Grove Exclusive : Love Always heart charm
2. Gap Dresses x 3
3. Burberry espadrilles
4. Coach tea rose camera bag

I have one slot left [emoji85] maybe I could do 5 items every 6 months???

Both dresses are great, I’m sure you’ll get a lot of wear out of them. I’m glad you found something so pretty to remember your aunt, what a nice way to do that! Also love the charm. I was debating getting one myself. (I loved the way my oldest son said double decker bus when he was little). My bracelet is heavy as it is, but there might be one more opening

I think you are doing well! Hard challenge to take on! I have been adding skirts back into my wardrobe since following your thread. My husband really likes the look, too! (I never knew he cared one way or the other.) I have discovered that I can have just as hard a time with a skirt's fit as I can a dress. Being top heavy is a struggle.

I love your Burberry espadrilles! I like your choices of dresses from GAP. I hope you have better luck than I do. I find their quality and fits all over the place. Almost as bad as J Crew. The good thing is that most GAP stores carry a good inventory, so it can be tried on in store vs ordering. I do like a lot of their online exclusives, though.
