Store purchase question

In person I have been to 2 boutiques (both in Las Vegas) one SA was a bit nicer than the other..but both times I knew what I wanted to purchase. Was offered cookies, chocolates, water or "anything else to drink" and it was really nice. I had my dad with me once and he was stunned when the lady brought the purchases out on a tray with white gloves and then cookies, chocolates and Perrier. I told him he's been shopping at the the wrong places

Lol that’s some amazing service!

Well….I was right! I just got home and unwrapped my Love bracelet and there’s a bunch of micro scratches on one side near the screw showing it was put on and taken off multiple times. Thankfully I had the guys business card. I called him and oh he was extremely nice and knew exactly who I was. He is going to exchange it but since I’m home, I have to mail it back and he is going to send me a new one.

It’s hard to get photos but my husband took one to show the larger scratches but there’s more micro scratches on it too.

Now I play the waiting game. He was nice and felt bad about it. He said he will overnight the new one and have his manager inspect it too before shipping it out.

That's so frustrating! I'm glad they are making it easy to replace. Did you unwrap your JUC yet?

Not yet. I doubt there will be scratches on that but will check it shortly.

I should have trusted my instinct and gone back yesterday but I didn’t want to be the crazy lady that said “hey I don’t think what he gave me was new, please open and Inspect it”. I also felt bad to make my kids go back to the mall especially when it was pure madness the day before when I bought it.

Edited to add: just checked the JUC and it’s perfect! I’m so glad I impulse bought it lol. I guess I’m not sure where it normally scratches but nothing that meets the eye like what the Love bracelet was. Those scratches are very visible.

This is women instinct at work and proven right. Glad SA managed to salvage this and you’re in the end happy with your loots!
Yes! I should have trusted my instinct but I felt crazy even to myself but something seemed so off. I was hoping for the best when I got home to open it lol.

I’ll keep you all posted on how it goes. I text him my info and he said he will get the Director to send me a return label tomorrow. They shut down early today due to the storms.

Never doubt yourself! You had that feeling for a reason. I hope the exchange goes well. Unreal that he would pass that bracelet on to you. I can see the scratches. Please keep us posted as to how the exchange goes.

The bracelets both look great to me and I see the plastic baggies in the pic you posted. I guess it's upsetting that you didn't get the customer service you expected. If I didn't think an SA was worth my purchase I probably would have left and purchased online *shrug*
I always had good experience at Cartier boutiques with one exception in a certain store, a friend of mine happened to get the same SA and had the worst experience as well. She did just what you said, left and ordered online. It turns out they can track this behavior and the purchase gets processed under the SA's name anyways lol. She was super pissed when she examined her paperwork and saw the SA she hated on it. Probably they track the data from your appointment, monitor online purchases and assign a purchase to your last point of contact/ SA. She did make her online purchase very soon after the store visit, I'm not sure if it would be still assigned to that SA had she made the purchase months later.

Am I missing something? I never expect the add-ons or travel pouches, and am pleasantly surprised when they are included. Just because someone buys an expensive piece (or many!), it doesn’t mean you automatically get anything.
I think it's about the level of the service. All these extras are really super cheap for the brand and produced for only one reason - give them out to customers to create a pleasant experience. I'm in brand marketing and have a "customer is always right" mindset. If a customer wants that experience it is only beneficial for the brand to provide it.
I personally don't care about the extras, I never use them and it's just clutter for me at the end of the day, but I got something extra with every single purchase I made. I also only discover these things at home since I don't check my bags in store.

This was my biggest worry honestly. I just had a feeling. I’m so glad I didn’t wear it out of the store now. It’s just principal. Yes I’ll scratch it but I’d rather be the one to make the scratches and know my bracelet was brand new if that makes sense.

Have to see when I’ll get the shipping label today. He wanted me to pay to ship it back. I said no way, that should be on them to provide a label. It wasn’t my mistake.

Oh wow that’s crazy. Good to know too.

Yes the point was I asked multiple times if the item was new. He blew me off and said yes. Ended up being used multiple times and all scratched up. My experience was terrible overall in store which is upsetting. I asked for the pouches since I travel a lot and they are handy and he said no problem. His communication was terrible and he was trying to get rid of me. The main complaint is the whole experience Was terrible.

My first purchase, I never received anything. My second purchase, my SA was amazing and gave me a pouch for my ring which I use daily. I didn’t think it was a big deal to request a pouch that goes with my bracelets especially seeing so many videos of people on you tube that received them so I thought that was the norm, apparently not. I know better now.

Odd that she would have given her name and info to an SA she didn't like and had no intentions of buying from. I haven't been asked my name until checkout process *shrug*

They have the information automatically whenever you schedule your appointment online. I was also asked for my information in store (US) when I showed up without an appointment. In order to assign me an SA the lady at the entrance input my info in her iPad...
