Stockholm Hermes

I live in Stockholm downtown so I have seen long queues many days while i was passing by around Christmas holidays. I did not even consider to end up in a queue rather prefer to follow the FHM recommendation to avoid the non-necessary visit to shop after the increases of covid19 cases in general. There are members here with a long relationship with the brand and SAs and I am sure that they can offer opinions and very good rationale guesses on how is going to be in this new shop.

I saw just from the street that there were a few handbag on the opening days and I guess that they will keep on getting a few pieces now and them but it depends on what are your targets in handbags.

I am only interested on a few concrete handbags for my handbag collection. Therefore, I have never managed to get them from an Hermes shop. I bought my Kelly and my Trim many years ago in the pre-loved market after I have been searching for years until I found the exact model, leather and color that i was looking for. I am very satisfied with my Hermes handbags but I have one single last piece in my wish list, a Kelly sellier in mysore leather in a warm green. I am not in a hurry, I can wait years to find it but I would obviously enjoy more to get it from Hermes. I understand that they will not put me in the list for special offer ever so I try other alternatives no hurry, no pause.

Any recommendations to get it closer to my last Hermes wish is welcome.
I have as preliminary goal to get it before my 60th birthday and I am 53 now, I have 7 year more ahead to try. As you can see, I am not impatient, jeje.

Thanks for your input! I'm a guy, so I'm potentially only interested in the bigger, more masculine bags (35, 40 cm) in neutral colors in togo or epsom with PHW. Hope you get your bag! Not being in a hurry is typically something positive when it comes to Hermès, it seems

Hopefully some of the members you mentioned can provide some insight to the new store/SAs/stock and how it works in Stockholm

No Swedes here who have experiences with the new store? E.g. Is buying bags about relationships/spending $ or is it wait lists? How are the SA's? What's the stock like? Do you have "one" SA like it seems in other countries?

Wish I lived closer so I could visit more often!

 Hi, all! I wanted to bump this thread to try and see if there’s any new insight on this store. I’m visiting in February (so a long time from now), but wanted to see if it’s even worth adding a visit to H to my itinerary. Would love any feedback from folks who have shopped here in terms of inventory, and etcetera! Thank you.

If I understood correctly you are located in California. I have only visited the store in Beverly Hills. Compared to that one, the one in STH is much smaller. It is one floor whereas the one in Beverly Hills was 3 floors if I remember correctly. I don´t live near STH myself so I can only visit a few times a year. I think the inventory has been a good one but there is no RTW if your are interested in that. I have almost everytime I visited seen rodeos and other bag charms in the SLGs section. The B/Ks on display have always had a reserved sign on them. I also know the small picotin and mini Lindys are hard to get. I have an SA I shop with and always book an appointment with him every time I plan to visit. My visits are often on weekends and there have always been a que except in the summer months. So if you plan on visiting on a weekend better to come early. I think there is less que if you come early on a weekday as people tend to do their errands in the afternoon after work.

Thank you so much for the insight! BH is my home store, but I’m curious about the other stores. If I end up in Stockholm on a weekday, I might give it a shot.

I think you should if you have the time. It is nice to see other stores and get a souvenir. I think H has the best souvenirs and you never know what you might find. I always try to visit other stores when travelling and browse and maybe get a small souvenir. I do save my larger purchases for my home store though.
I enjoyed my visit to your home store (in 2015 so long ago) and picked up a scarf I had been wanted for a long time which I had not seen here or on H online EU. Our store is fairly new and larger then the previous one we had which was a franchise. I think if you are looking for something particular, it is worth asking because they can´t fit it all on display and some inventory is in their storage.

Hi! I also wanted to bump this thread as I will be visiting next month. Are there often long queues and is it better to try and make an appointment? I am very much looking forward to returning to Sweden for a visit as my father used to live in Stockholm and I have many wonderful memories there. Thank you for your help!

My hubby was there a month ago and the queue was only a few people long.

Just went today, no queue and could come in right away.

The SA I had really didn’t seem interested in selling lol. Everything I asked for was out of stock (some specific earrings, a wallet, twillies, tech accessories). He didn’t try to suggest any alternatives that they did have in stock. They had one 22cm Picotin in stock but I didn’t love the colour. They also had an Evelyne 29cm but again, didn’t love the colour. Constance is also a quota bag here (unlike in the US). They had lots of lovely bags on display but they were all “reserved”. It seems like they weren’t interested in selling to tourists.

I ended up purchasing just one item and left. I probably won’t come back.
