Yes the store will open in October now according to the latest information. Staff wise most if not all will be new and the SM is not from what I would consider luxury retail, but I have heard that there are some SA’s that might come from Chanel and LV. They are what I have heard still looking for staff (linked in still have add)
Oh please do tell us more!
This makes me very curious about the SM; where was she previously?
I guess there will be a lot of new faces once we can go back to shopping in stores as usual.
(I know we *can*, but I certainly don’t feel comfortable doing so just yet; H would be the exception :P)

Thank you everyone for contributing to this thread. I’m so excited about the opening but like TammyP having mixed feelings about the shopping, especially since it means sitting in a plane for an hour. I might have to postpone my visit due to covid-19.

The new SM is a he. ;) I’ve spent quite some time with him (at my boutique where he was learning the H ropes, probably at other boutiques as well) and he’s a very kind and lovely person.
From what I‘ve heard the entire staff will be new. One of them has about ten years H experience in another country, other staff doesn’t. But like with stores that have gone through this process before, the idea is that SAs from boutiques in the surrounding countries will be asked to be temporarily assigned for a short period to this one to assist the SAs and get them up to speed (and dealing with certain H clients or walk-ins can be a master class of its own :P). Of course with this boutique being company owned now, they want to guarantee their H level of service and knowledge, especially with new staff.
Hoping your store opens sooner rather than later! Should be fun as the inventory for an opening is always especially good.;):flowers:

Thank you for all the info @Angelian; you’re always so helpful! :hugs:
I was so sure it said the SM would be a woman - not sure why?! Either way, I’m looking forward to meeting & getting to know the new staff, even if I’ll miss several from the old store.
Re the inventory, and in particular the silk section: could there be articles from only the current season or a selection of previous season items as well (meaning is there still hope of getting my hands on things I missed out on from spring season)? :hrmm:

You’re very welcome, happy I could share!:hugs:
Can only assume they will not solely have current season items? H wants/needs to sell the recent ones as well. (We tpfers are very aware there are seasons for the scarves, I would think a lot of H clients are actually not and just buy what catches their eye.) Even if they don’t have the silks you’re after, it should not be a big issue to get them transferred if still available at other boutiques. They can look up by reference number or name and see immediately which store has it to ask for a transfer. My SA has done that for me, for various categories and from different stores.

Thanks for all the exciting information about our new store. Looking forward to visiting. DH promised to drive so I don`t have to take the train even though it is useless having to deal with the car once in STH. I do hope they will have some inventory from spring since we missed out on that season. I also hope there will be some exotic eye candy for viewing. I was offered a B25 in croc when the old store closed but unfortunatelly the price was well out of my range. I would really like to see the constance to go, although I am hesitating on the price point for a wallet.

I was just thinking about that fact that the only scarves from spring season that I’ve actually seen IRL are the ones I’ve purchased! That just feels...wrong, somehow  Can’t wait to hopefully see a few more. Also hoping there will be pieces from the new jewelry line that I’ve already forgotten the name of...
If it weren’t for the whole corona situation, this would be the *perfect* time for a SE-based tpf:ers get-together

Re what to do with the car - is the NK Parkering no good? (I’m assuming you’re a member):flowers:

I am also looking forward to viewing some jewellery and watches. I do hope they will have a larger selection both in store and what they can transfer home. We will most likely stay at a hotel so we`ll leave the car there, we always stay within walking distance to NK:biggrin:. Train is more comfortable and goes quicker than car and once in STH there is no point in having a car. A SE tpf meet would have been fun. Lets hope the covid situation calms down.

I wrote to the service e-mail adress of Hermes NK. I asked if they had any information about the opening. I got a reply back that the date is not yet set but the plan is the end of September or beginning of October. Once the date is set it will be shown at Hermes site and on the NK site.

Hmmm, well let’s hope they announce it soon, for those of us who prefer to have some foresight
Granted I don’t need to plan my trip, but still.
I am getting antsy!

Thanks for sharing @Angelian sounds very promising. I do hope they have some way of taking care of us very long standing H customers - still have some dream bags to realize that I hope will be possible now when its a company own store. Have missed not having H in town greatly. Looking to add other things to the collection as well as it has not been possible due to the current world situation and I also always favor shopping locally
