Hello all H lovers

I wanted to ask if anyone knows what happens to my profile after purchasing a crocodile B/K and if it increases my illegibility for another quota bag?

The problem is I was not allowed to submit a wishlist after receiving the bag as I am not a resident (frequent traveler / not Paris)

Also, I have done some purchases a few days after receiving the bag in the summer which should contribute to my overall spend, however the grey area for me is to know will I become more eligible now after the croco or not? Do you think I will be able to put on my wishlist during low season? I was offered to put my wishlist during a previous off season.

I am so nervous and hoping to score another bag

No, buying an exotic does not help you toward your next quota bag. It would help to know which country you are shopping but it’s not uncommon for them to enforce a “cooling off period” between getting a quota bag and submitting another wish in wishlist countries. This is to give other clients a fair chance as well.

So it has been 6 months already I hope I get a chance this time !

So I’ve been shopping at a competitive boutique in CA for 9 months now with currently a 2:1 prespend for a B25. I buy mostly FJ and home, and just started buying RTW. I don’t have any leather items besides a calvi (no non-QBs either).

I had to switch SAs at the end of last year since my previous one left abruptly. I was told my pre spend would not reset. After shopping with my new SA pretty much every single week for the past 2 months, I’ve really gotten to know her well. She’s so lovely and genuine and I really enjoy shopping with her.

We also have had multiple conversations regarding my wishlist, but she keeps telling me that I’m going to have to wait a long time because of the specs I want (B25 with GHW, in a neutral color like gold, etoupe, noir etc). I know these specs are in high demand, but I would also think that H makes more of them due to their popularity. I trust what she tells me since I don’t believe she’s the type to string me along or anything, but I guess I am just not up for a bag yet. I wonder if it’s because my prespend isn’t high enough yet? FYI apparently my boutique is known for being relatively fair in allocating QBs, especially to first timers.

Totally understand this is just the reality of the H game. I guess I’m just venting and sharing my experience but hoping I will get my first bag this year :)

Wondering if anyone has any insight- current spend ratio is 3:1 (home boutique is Madison) for my third quota bag-hopefully b/k25, but wondering about the difference to SAs between ready stock in boutique, vs transferring from another boutique for items not in stock. I get this feeling that he's never terribly thrilled to transfer an item for me, for instance I've on several occasions felt extremely pressured to purchase RTW in the sizes/colors they have in stock, when there's another color (or sometimes size) I prefer that's unavailable in the boutique but available to transfer in from another store. There's always some push back about how "stores won't transfer this, it's too popular etc," only for the item to magically appear ("I was able to find those slacks for you!") a mere 3-4 days later only when I outright decline the selection in store and he's clearly out of a sale. Is his bottom line, or perhaps more relevant- are the store's sales goals affected by transferring from outside?

If you buy from store stock, both the SA and the store get credit. If you do a charge send, your SA gets credit but the originating store gets credit instead of your home store. Offers are made by the SM who cares about sales of your home store. That being said, this is still true.

This is just where the competition is these days and a 9 month profile is pretty short in grand scheme of things. Also, H is rumored to be releasing even fewer quota bags this year to keep the demand high. I’d expect to have to spend at least another $10k and wait closer to the end of the year. If I were you I’d probably start spacing my visits out more as well (make them miss you a bit lol).

Thank you! Yeah I was just eager and went to the store way too often LOL. I’m at the mall pretty much twice a week already… so I always find myself walking over to H to “just take a look.” But I’ll try to go every 1-2 months now and space out my purchases. Another $10K isn’t unreasonable.

On another note, she seems to reallyyy want me to get a non QB in the meantime. I wonder if she thinks it will keep me satisfied for the time being while waiting for my B25 lol!

She probably wants to show her appreciation for your business but knows you aren’t approved for a quota bag yet. If there’s a bag she is offering that you are interested in, you should consider it.

Totally! She actually just offered me a mini Evelyn in white yesterday. It wasn’t on my wishlist but I appreciated the offer although I ended up rejecting it. She actually said so herself that she doesn’t want me to think that she doesn’t show me love :)

Ah this makes a lot of sense though kind of stinks given the current inventory issues. Is it the same for items that are out of stock everywhere? For instance certain pieces of porcelain (have to be ordered direct from Paris, wait time a year or more)?

As we are on inventory and purchasing channels, what does it mean when your SA is “ordering” an item for you? Are they placing an order request via SM so in the next podium order their SM can do it? Or are they transferring it from another store? Or ordering via web? In the past, I have had my SA say that a few times to me. They are often popular-ish items - FJ, shoes and whatnot. The items sometimes come in soon (like a few weeks), sometimes a few months or longer. And of course, those are things I really want, and either the store doesn’t have them in stock, or it’s a new season scarf that I heard about. I’m asking purely from the profile point of view though.

In this context, it means that they are placing a “reservation” on your profile. When the “ordered” item arrives and gets scanned in, a list pops up with all the clients who have “an order” for that item. Allegedly it’s a first come first served list and they will use the system to print out a sticker with person #1’s name on it and then give it to their SA to complete the sale (hold it or do a remote phone order/shipment). Sometimes the item never arrives. Sometimes they think they are getting ten of the item but only six ever arrive. Sometimes they know clients are flakey and they will put ten people on the list despite knowing they are only expecting to receive a maximum of six of the item. In other words, it’s a reservation with no guarantee of fulfillment but at least it puts you in line for potentially eventually receiving the item. If you eventually do receive the item, profile wise, it is the same as buying any other item off the shelf in stock at your home store.

That made total sense. Since my SA is often explicit when she needs to transfer something and I can sense she is gauging how likely I’ll purchase that certain item. However when she places an “order”, she has shown little to no hesitance in doing so.

I’m still wrapping my head around how transfer works. I’ve read and understand that if you purchase a transferred item, your SA gets credit, and the transferring store gets credit. But not the receiving store (home store), thus not your home SM. Is that a correct picture? And this is regardless of which item and its condition (category, price, how long it has been at another store).

There are two different methods for buying from another store; a transfer and a charge-send. In a transfer, store B sends your store the item you wish to buy and your store sends store B another item of equal value, typically in the same category/type. For example, you want noir size 37 orans but your store only has size 41. Your store would ship the size 41 orans to the other store and they would ship the 37s to your home store in exchange. Now each store has a new item in their own inventory. When you then buy the newly delivered 37s, it is coming from your store’s stock and your store gets the credit. This method has fallen out of favor because it’s obviously costly and takes a long time as well as it is of no benefit for the sending store. The sending store was “smart enough” to know that 37 is a popular size and ordered them for their inventory but are now stuck with the less popular size 41s that they may not be able to sell.
Instead, what most stores now do is the charge-send. In the same scenario as above, your store would keep the size 41s and you would order directly, through your SA, the 37s from the other store. Your SA and the other store would receive credit for selling the 37s.
