Spend threshold for B/K/C

She's not ever going to be your best friend and it's certainly not going to be a romance, but OK. I'm saying that as someone who has lots of SAs/SMs who are actually my friends.

Personally, I wouldn't save anything 'for later', there's no later with these brands, they can discontinue anything any minute (learned my lessens). That's a different topic.

Most people like celebrities because they're dazzled and impressed by them, not coz they hang out. Every transaction with an SA is a financial one. Maintaining a relationship is fine, but that's when you already have a collection. If you want a bag, go big, don't get on her nerves taking-up all her time, just spend.

Anyway, you do it your way.
That’s so true about “saving anything for later”. I’ve heard about the massive push to limit bags to 1 qb per year. Get them all while you can. It’s only gonna get more competitive and prices keep going up.

$20K x 1 impresses SAs more
Yup. Agree too with @jimmyshoogirl re amount of work

also, a client who spends a lot on a single sale raises hopes that it can happen again
But the nice customer who comes in and happily buys the 5-figure coat will stand out. And if that nice customer is also pleasant, easy to work with, never returns anything because a stitch is misaligned or complains there is a minute scuff on the bottom of the shoe that is visible only at 4pm when standing under a certain window, even better.
100%

lol re the Orans. Selling shoes can be the worst time drain that frequently yields no sales or results in returns.
Don’t be the client who agonizes over two sizes of chypres, only to return both bc one is not comfy when at home and the other has a scuff. Don’t buy something unless you are sure.

This is good advice. Not everyone can spend $20k in a shot but everyone can be pleasant, efficient and respectful that for an SA time is money. Frequent returns, indecisiveness that drags out a low spend appontment, very frequent visits with no or low spend are all not going to endear someone to an SA at H.

IMHO a low/lower spend efficient pleasant client is going to get a lot more mileage than someone low/lower spend who has very frequent visits, a lot of returns or is indecisive. That’s also true of higher spend clients but they get more leeway.

May I ask what is a reasonable spend ratio for a b25 neutral color. I’m currently at a 3:1 in only RTW and FJ and two of the items were high ticket items making the majority of spend. I am not pushy but I also received no offers. I was asked if I was interested in a picotin but I kindly declined. Gentle reminders were made but I was told that I will need to wait.. do I just keep waiting or is it that the spend is too low in comparison to others?

How long has it been?

Within the last 6 months
I think it’s within reason both wait time and your spend.

Were you very specific on which neutral? Or you left it open? If it’s a smaller boutique wait time might be a little longer regardless of spend. Personally I think the wait clock doesn’t start until you cross the spend threshold.

Thank you for your reply. I left it open to just neutrals nothing specific. I will wait it out and hopefully hear back soon.

Exactly. Go big, go home, and then have them do WW search for a certain design/cw twilly hoping to hit the commission-jackpot again.

IMO even a lipstick is precious and luxury, but it only computes with SAs if they've had an an actual directive to up makeup that week. Looking back at someone's purchase history is only half the story. Raising one's profile is even more important on the roster of regs.
How about if we just set a DD so the money can just go directly to H every month? (LOL)

It’s a decent spend but many other clients are also at this spend waiting for the same bag. I’d prepare for a 4-6 month wait from this point and would advise continuing to make small purchase visits monthly until then.
