Which aspects would you consider to be inaccurate? It's not 100% accurate and is the experience of one store SA...making it a sticky would imply that this is the exact truth![]()
You weren’t asking me but, I would venture to say the parts around bag allotments and SA numbers. It’s fairly clear that that’s a smaller to mid-size store experience, not a flagship or other large/heavily trafficked store. The rest is fairly generic common sense, but I wouldn’t call it Hermes canon.Which aspects would you consider to be inaccurate?
None of us are here to pick holes in other people's posts, but the poster here noted clearly in a later post that every sales specialist is different.Which aspects would you consider to be inaccurate?
Impossible to say and not universally one answer. Some months some regions have special bonuses for SAs that sell a certain amount in a certain category. Other SAs have tons of RTW clients and buying Home items will make you stand out…or vice versa. When a client starts making their purchasing decisions solely on profile building benefit, Hermes has truly won. If you’re okay with being played like that, my only advice would be to always listen carefully to what your SA is recommending for you to look at while in the store and purchase anything they merely hint at.From a "building the profile" prospective to get a non exotic QB, what category do you think weights the most? watch? women/men RTW? (not considering furniture at this time)

And it also varies in different parts of Europe.Agree with @acrowcounted. Past H annual reports suggest at a time RTW was prioritised due to a global general perceived weakness in RTW sales (thinking back at least 6 years) then, the purchasing RTW is seen most positively (i.e. rewarded). More recently, at least in the UK, clients seem to be steered more towards FJ and (higher-end) watches (and this is a guess)I suspect probably London stores are looking for overall higher sales targets (on average, FJ/watches tend to be higher ticket items per item - than average RTW) and looking for gross. Pretty much, the lower-price (relatively speaking) items are looking after themselves, and that's including the occasional £2K sweater and/or multiple pairs of sandals or belts. IMO, in London 'threshold' is not a monetary value, RTW, (higher end) FJ and watches do help, but even then, no guarantees.
550k usd per month is nutsI think the price increases are factors to the pre-spend as well. My SA once told me last year that her month goal is roughly 450k USD.
And lately I visited her after the price increased, she said this month goal is 550k USD.
She also told me that if I fast enough to buy the desirable bags from H.com, I better buy it. Her bags allocation depends on the shipment and her performances. So if I want the specific specs non-QB from her it might takes very long until that bag arrives store and allocated to her.
(The following advice assumes you are shopping in the US.) Your prespend is good and your SA is trying to show she appreciates you by offering the non quota bags while waiting for your quota bag to be available. The Constance will probably delay the quota bag just from the sense of a feeling of fairness “she JUST got a mini C last month, let someone else have a turn!” but I wouldn’t worry about the spend.Hi! Does anyone know how non-quota bags affect my prespend? I started my journey Oct 2023 and am now waiting for my first quota bag. I've spent about 40k now(excluding non-quota bags) and my SA was nice enough to offer me a C18 in December and a mini lindy this month.
I know that would probably delay my offer, but do they deduct certain amount of pre-spend for popular non-quota bags?
Thank you so much for the clarification!(The following advice assumes you are shopping in the US.)
