As long as my prespend doesn't reset, I'm not really in a hurry to get my quota bag. I enjoy shopping with my SA anyways, she always shows me pieces that I wouldn't have picked out otherwise but end up loving.

Really depends on your country/region and which non quota bag? Basically the SM will try to keep things fair for all clients. If you’re loading up on tons of NQBs, they’re going expect you to spend more again to get a QB. If you just get a Picotin while waiting for a QB, it likely won’t effect much of anything.
I've bought from homeware, RTW(both men and women's), fine jewelries, scarves! My biggest spendings have been on RTW and fine jewelries though!
Thanks and that’s what I expected. Nothing is clear cut with H… it’s in the US and one of the sought after non quota such as the KD or KP.
KP especially will be treated like a quota bag in that they’ve basically granted you a dream bag and then things reset, unfortunately.
I'm thinking that your SA has already had you approved for that specific bag and it is coming in soon.
Depending where you live, it’s either been approved and allocated for you in a shipment or it was ordered specifically for you at podium.
That’s a very strange reply for a US store unless your SA is being lazy/ornery or the bag offer is imminent (like within a week). If you were asking for a super LE bag that would take a lot of negotiating and finagling with Paris then I could maybe understand but for a normal production common combo…very odd.
I've heard that the pre-spend doesn't necessarily "resets" in the US, is that not the case anymore? My SA also briefly said something along the lines of "your spend can be used to build for the second QB when you hit their spend requirement for the first QB". Is that true or do y'all think it's just a tatic to have you spend more before you even get the first QB?
There are no actual spend requirements, it’s just a metric to compare competition among clients. Once a client gets a great bag, the urgency to get that same client another great bag decreases significantly. That doesn’t necessarily mean it goes to zero if your overall profile is still vastly impressive. For example, if someone buys a $300k pool table, they will likely get a phenomenal bag offer, followed by another phenomenal bag offer pretty quickly after on little spend in between. However, my view, for the US market, is that one is never in the position of having “hit the prespend” until the bag is walking out the door with them. Anything spent up until that moment will be considered when the bag is requested by the SA from the SM for approval. Then when it’s time for the subsequent bag offer, it will be up to the SA to point out to the SM “I know she’s only spent $5k since her last birkin BUT she spent $80k in the month before that bag“ Personally, I wouldn’t trust it.
