Best to ask your SA. Before pandemic, this could easily be done in my experience but things have changed and Hermes became stricter now. The norm nowadays is the account should match the credit card used.
I understand. So I’m guessing if the SA is ok with it then things should be fine then? Thank you so much for the response!

Suggest not to shop with the same SA on 2 accounts. Some SMs don’t like it and will see the 2 accounts as 1. What that means is the 2 accounts will share the maximum quota bag for 1 year. Anyway, u r better off not putting your eggs in 1 basket. Another SA in another store can really help u with getting the things u truly like, if your current can’t.

Hi. I need some advice from everyone. Recently my husband and I found a great SA that we connect with. The SA was new so he gladly took both of us as his clients. My husband is not too much of a fan for the brand but I am and have been wanting a QB. So we both decided to begin this journey and create accounts to maximize the possibility.

My question is: is it possible for my husband to pay for items under my account or vice versa? Basically use his card at the register while my account is logged in type of thing. I’ve heard mixed opinions on this where people say yes and others say no. Do the SAs or the system actually know the card used does/doesn’t match the account name?

Please let me know and thanks in advance!

I think it really just depends on the SA. My husband and I have 2 different accounts and different things get applied to different accounts. My SA asks which one to put it on and he's paid for things put on my account. Re: quota bags, I've been told that we don't need to worry it since we have 2 accounts. So with all things H, the approach taken by SAs/stores always varies. Best to ask your SA.

Agree with @loh and we've had a similar experience. However, one time, my SA where our vacation home is made a comment that the credit card used for my DH's account should have his name on it instead of mine, in case the store gets audited by corporate. He actually showed me the part of the purchase confirmation where it shows the name on the card used. But the last time I was there, he (mistakenly) put our purchases under my account and I used the credit card with DH's name and he didn't say anything. So I don't think the system would reject a payment but it sounds like it's more of a policy in case they get audited. When we opened DH's account in a new store for us, the SA did say that everything had to be under his name, and we do use the card with his name on it when we make purchases.

Totally agree with @smoothsailor regarding the 2 accounts and the same SA. If the SM realizes it's the same household, they may enforce the 2 QB/year anyways. My SA actually did say that H might move to 2 QB per household, instead of per profile/person, but not sure if that's actually going to happen. My DH and I have different accounts in different stores, not with the same SA. It was originally because my prior home store had a SM who was militant about not shopping anywhere else so I opened an account for DH at a different store so my purchases would not show up under my profile. But when you have 2 accounts, you also have to build the purchase profile for each and it can get complicated when they text you the same stuff to buy!! Or offer you the same non-quota bags (which has happened to me) and I had to turn one down. Or offer you a QB like 2 weeks apart and you don't want to say no so you buy both and bust your budget. :P

Question: for those saying they have 2 accounts per SA, per store ( for example you and your spouse both have seperate accounts at two different SAs/stores)...how are you creating the different profiles? Like, what is the unique identifier that you change so that it doesn't trigger your profile(s) at the other stores?

They make the profile based on your phone number. So assuming partner's cell numbers are different.

But these people are saying they and their significant others EACH have 2 separate accounts with 2+ separate stores/SAs. How is that possible? What unique identifier are they using?
Sorry, my post may have been confusing. I only have one account. My DH does have 2 accounts with 2 different phone numbers, emails, as well as physical mailing address, but I think the phone number is the most important. Our SA's know that we shop in both places, we are fully transparent with them about that. They also know when I go shop in Paris (because I bring back treats and show them what I got.) They seem to be cool with it as long as I continue to shop/spend for each profile. My newest SA (since I recently switched home stores for various reasons) pulled up my account to see my shopping history at my prior store, as well as DH's account at our vacation city, since DH has a small spend at this new store. Vacation city people know it's not our primary residence, so obviously they realize I have another home store and are cool with it. I have a great relationship with my SA in vacation city and he ships me stuff to my primary residence all the time and sets stuff aside for me when I visit. Hope that helps. @FrenchNewbie, you can DM me if you have further questions. :flowers:

Profile is based on name, not phone number. Names remain constant, unless there is a life changing event, while phone numbers change.
If your DH has 2 accounts with diff phone numbers, emails, and addresses, an SA will see both account profiles. While it is not uncommon for people to have the same first/last name, chances are greatly minimized if they are H clients. You do what works for you.

A have friends who shop at diff H locations in the US and other countries. They don't care about games or hurting SA/SM feelings. They say it's their money and buy whatever they want. Whenever they want. And still get their QBs and SOs.

If I shop at one location in NYC, is it possible for my husband to start a new relationship at another location within NYC and have neither of the stores see that? Based on what I'm reading, it seems like your profiles are really set by your name and not by phone numbers or addresses.

I thought that because we have the same address, they would connect both of us together and see that I shop at one location and my husband shops at another and that would in turn hurt my chances of QB.

They would be able to see both of your profiles at each separate store.
