Spend threshold for B/K/C

Very unlikely to get anything 25 or smaller with 1:1 spend these days, unless you're super lucky and loved by the SA/SM. Different story if you're open to larger sizes. But either way I personally don't consider resellers because: 1. I love the non-leather items I've bought, and 2. peace of mind is a huge factor for me, no matter how reputable a reseller is I'd still sleep much better knowing my bag came out of a boutique.

Same. That’s why when I hear “I can just go to the reseller” I’m like but I wouldn’t get all of the shoes, sweaters, scarves and other things that I wear so much lol. I can wait for a bag. I mean it’s not like I have a shortage of them nor will I stop breathing if I don’t get one right away! But some people only like the bags so I guess they prefer to get straight to the bag!

I could not agree with you more. If all one wants is a bag, then by all means pay 2x or 3x retail for it if that's your jam. If I'm going to pay that much, I'd much rather get all the amazing other things (shoes, rtw, home goods, etc) that would bring my wallet to that level of emptiness AND get a bag. And yeah, I can wait, and keep breathing.
I totally agree with all of you. What I was trying to say is overspending doesn’t make sense to me.

Well I think the people who go the reseller route do so because the bag isn't a sure thing. We see it all the time here, people are 2:1, 3:1, and more with no bag.

I didn't do the reseller route because same as you, I wanted all the things  But I do understand why people make that choice since a bag isn't guaranteed.

I think it’s also not so straight forward to get the dishes that one likes and at the right time (if u want it as a gift), the clothes/shoes/jewellery that one likes at the right size and color, etc at the boutique.

Additionally, seeing other customers at the same boutique getting bag at lesser spend might also not agree/go down well with some customers. Not getting to the specifics like years of loyalty or exceptional favor from SA/SM.

It can be more straightforward to get brand new bag and other stuff from the resale market at a known price and known time.

Where are the 1:1 ratios for bags on the reseller side? I’m being very serious, not slightly kidding! All I ever see are 25-30k+ for the colors I want
 The bright coloured bags I like are available. I wouldn’t buy them at a reseller but it is an option. I have two neutral bags and that is more than enough neutral for me.

Agreed. I love all the knick knacks (hubby's term) that I get and the bag is a bonus!

There are none, for brand new bags  Even the "less desirable" bags, like B35s or Box calf bags, much older bags in great shape, and non "quota" bags are marked up to high heaven in the current market. I would be extremely suspicious of a new in box bag (talking Birkins, Kellys, Constance) sold at retail on the secondary market.

This may actually be one reason H likes to see spend history. If you've sunk $20K into the brand and built a "relationship", you are less likely to flip the bag once you walk out of the store. It may also be one reason longtime customers seem to often be exempt from this prespend concept. (I mean, I only buy bags I love and would never flip a bag, but I have to admit it's a tiny tiny tiny bit tempting to spend 8K€ and know I could sell for $25K USD or more tomorrow. But my SA knows I won't. )

ETA, on spend ratio: y'all know I don't agree with this concept anyway. But in terms of spend that counts in building your profile within a store, in the US and Europe, certain bags do seem to matter. I know men's bags that I've bought for DH are seen as part of my profile, as well as rare things like Volynka and the Chimere Bolide. I'm sure it's not the same as buying an Alchimie bracelet or something, but it does matter.

Hello,
I just wanted to share my experience for my first quota with Madison NY store. I shopped there since mid 2021, I wasn’t serious about a quota bag until October last year. I was told back then B25 for a first offer is harder and the store manager prefers to give B30 as a first quota bag but I waited for B25 and just got offered
My ratio was 2.7:1, 2 for fine jewelry and RTW and .7 on shoes/accessories. I was open to both sellier or togo and I requested a neutral color, again I wasn’t super specific as to what neutral though I said grey preferred but open and only ghw/rghw. I got offered a B25 nata sellier in GHW and took it. I used to ask here about prespend and just wanted to help my fellow H lovers. I have seen some spending more or less depending on the SA and of course the popularity of bag (color/ hardware and leather etc.)

Going to work on the next quota Kelly bag now and not sure what to expect in terms of pre spend as I have read 2nd offers are longer than the first ( will update the 2nd offer experience later )

Goodluck shopping everyone
Hi! Do you mind sharing if you were offered other bags like a b30 prior to your b25 offer that you accepted?

Thanks for sharing! Could anyone speak more on how long it takes to get a 2nd quota offer after the first? Very interested as I got my first quota offer fall 2021 after waiting ~1 year and am now at ~1:1 new spend post-first quota offer. Really hoping for a 2nd quota offer but not in a huge rush. Thanks!
My first offer was very easy. Just a month or two of spend. I got my recent qb offer after 3-4:1 spend mainly on rtw and simple fine jewelry (multiple pieces priced ~9k and under) after a year after my last offer. My SA did subtly hint at buying some high priced watches (closer to ~15 to 20k) but I passed. I asked for a specific bag and saw it go to another lady who was wearing an H fine jewelry watch combo wearing a long cashmere H coat. Yes the watch had diamonds on it too with solid 18k gold. I was sad, but also said in my head "well deserved for that lady." I think it depends on what bag you want. If you want a k32 or B35, less spend needed. More competitive bags, spend ratio tends to go up.

Hi. I need some advice from everyone. Recently my husband and I found a great SA that we connect with. The SA was new so he gladly took both of us as his clients. My husband is not too much of a fan for the brand but I am and have been wanting a QB. So we both decided to begin this journey and create accounts to maximize the possibility.

My question is: is it possible for my husband to pay for items under my account or vice versa? Basically use his card at the register while my account is logged in type of thing. I’ve heard mixed opinions on this where people say yes and others say no. Do the SAs or the system actually know the card used does/doesn’t match the account name?

Please let me know and thanks in advance!

Best to ask your SA. Before pandemic, this could easily be done in my experience but things have changed and Hermes became stricter now. The norm nowadays is the account should match the credit card used.
