Spend threshold for B/K/C

Theoretically yes for the US. In practicality, due to low stock levels, no. Also, I am guessing that if your SA gets you a coveted non QB, then he may need to take care of others who don’t have anything bf turning back to you.

i had to start afresh with the Madison boutique after a very long hiatus (my SA left around 2012?), so my relationship is new as of post Covid SIP

2:1 or 3:1 my first accepted B30 etoupe, phw offer (SA said had he known I wanted this 30B, it could have been a lot sooner)
thereafter several other B30 offers including craie ostrich, noir touch, and other bags , none of which I took or wanted
3:1 or up to 5:1 (counting DHs spend) but honestly I don’t really count anymore for a B25 sellier, gold, phw.

My SA knows I would have spent this anyway without the bags bc I’ve been liking more and more H RTW

I don’t have a wishlist, and I am close to the end of my collecting BK. i only wear neutral colored bags, and arguably my favorite bag, even over BK, is my craie mini Della cavalleria
FYI, it goes by account, not who uses the item. Assuming the items for your DH were purchased under your account number, it is all spending on your account and thus you were at 5:1.

Thank you so much, I initially thought anything with leather in it doesn’t count. I guess B25 3:1 means I need to spend that much to get a B
Another very experienced member said she didn’t think slg significantly counted unless exotic
click above your post for her order of priority

There is a Constance to go thread with some of your posts answered there, starting at post #232

Does this include Constance to go as well for US location? Thanks so much!
If I’m not mistaken from prior posts, Constance To Go also contributes to pre spend in the US. Someone better versed in spend chime in if I’m mistaken.

edit: just saw helpful post by @880.
Was trying to helpful from info I’ve gleaned from other posters. I’m still a newbie so I’ll go back to the corner and stay quiet

According to my SA both CTG/KTG count toward pre-spend, they're just glorified SLG's  Usually the SA reserve them as a nice treat to the established customers while waiting for their quota bags since they don't get much shipments and as far as I know, the commission rate isn't nearly as lucrative as fine jewelry and home goods.

Aww thank you :) I am just secretly hoping it is hehe

Oh I see, better than nothing lol, yes I still need to spend big time on fine jewelry, home goods and RTW:biggrin:

I am in the same boat where I spent so much in the last 6 months and now I am burnt out. And I still haven't got my quota bag this year. I am going to ask my SA directly when I can get one when I go in next time (nicely but I think the question needs to be asked)...
Agree. H journey can be compared to dating :) So the guy calls you, plans nice dates, treats you well, is kind, caring, sweet, romantic, definitely interested, good-looking (etc.....insert all the good qualities that you like!) But then, you want a serious & a monogamous relationship.....so now you have to ask him that..because that is what you like in life..it's not enough that he is kind, caring, etc. to you..he needs to give you the serious & monogamous relationship that you like..otherwise..you just wasted your time because you will not achieve your end goal. So while your SA might give you all the SLGs, RTWs, and nonQBs that you like..eventually, you'll still have to ask about your end goal/major goal.....will she sell you a QB that you like..and when?!

It’s all well and good to say okay I am at 3X or 5X. If other clients keep shopping, or if an individual comes in and spends six figures and wants your bag, then all bets are off. Prespend becomes a moving target and an SM may very well overrule your SA

Premier luxury houses are moving to a business model where the most coveted items are reserved as special treats for the top spenders who can easily drop many multiples without a care. Those customers aren’t going to worry whether a CTG or a pair of shoes counts towards some sales goal. Theyve blown past it.

So going this route only works if you are thrilled to buy the other stuff even without the possibility of a QB. Otherwise it’s easier to go reseller. Recession is coming; reseller prices are softening.

First time I met my SA here in the US, they were able to see the number of qb (FSH purchase a few months earlier) in my profile. All the other sections were blank since I had yet to purchase anything from H at the time.

Interesting. My H SAs in NY and Paris said there is no workdwide linkage, no QB tracking yet. I was specifically told my Paris K25 doesn’t count towards my local allotment. A London SA told me that his clients still go to Paris to get an ‘extra’ QB. I believe that another member posted that it may be possible to track QB purchases workdwide at the corporate level. I’m not certain how strictly ones SA or SM scrutinizes or applies the QB limit.

Perhaps the more you spend, the more elastic the rules become, but I have neither the desire nor budget to test that theory. (In other words, if someone furnishes multiple homes in H furniture and/or does multiple Horizons projects, I think it would be ridiculous to say you can only have two QB annually). So, I would advise, when in doubt, just ask your own SA and adjust your behavior to follow the specific guidance that you receive

my statement that all accts are under one name meant in NY, DH and I share an acct in his name
in Paris DH and I share an acct in his name. i did not mean to imply that these accts are linked (yet). But, for RTW and accessories purchases, I would prefer linkage so as to keep track of sizes and colorways.

One last thought: If one only wants a B25 in a rare color, and makes it clear that is the only acceptable bag, and it takes three years to find, of course it’s ridiculous to count everything purchased in three years as prespend for a rare color B25. when that rare color comes in, and the SM realizes it’s popular and orders more for the next podium, suddenly the prespend for that bag may drop.

If one wants a B30 in a popular neutral that is ordered in quantity by the store, then prespend would be significantly lower. So if a new member posts my friend got a QB with 1:1, that does not mean this is the new magic number by which we are all judged.

Once you get the first offer, others naturally follow. The prespend in the US doesn’t formally reset like it does in Asia, so how should that be quantified. IDK
