Hii!! I was wondering if bags count towards prespend? I know they generally like to see purchases throughout different categories but I was wondering if a mini 24/24, picotin or her bag counts towards pre-spend or do they actually count against you for a b or k since you already got a bag? Tia!

i think to some extent they do but definitely spending in different categories is the key

Just found this thread and have been fascinated to read through it. I’m glad I didn’t come across it before because I would have been terrified. Great amount of information. Most of it very true to my experience. I also started shopping during the lockdown and have got a number of non quota bags and 1 quota bag within a year along with other stuff I bought. I only bought items I love which may not even be on people's radar. Beach towels, shawls, oasis sandal, sneaker, boots and a lot of homeware. I think it’s largely the relationship with the SA and how honest you are that matters. I didn’t want a quota bag when I started. I wanted a Bolide. I got a garden party 30 in my first month. And the quota bag a Birkin 25 came a month after my Bolide 25. I am not after neutrals as I love pops of colour. Now of course I’m looking for a Kelly but I’m in no rush. I will continue to find things I like but a lot of time the store doesn’t have inventory which is actually my pet peeve. In my store, my SA doesn’t like texts or unnecessary emails. Going into the store can be amazing sometimes and a nightmare at times. So it’s all about patience and being pleasant and polite.

no worries! I’m in Toronto
im not sure if you are non leather 3:1? If so I would be worried. I think most Toronto SA s seem pretty polite. I am not sure if there is some issue with the SA? 6 months is not long.. you may have to wait for the Hermes fairy..it happens suddenly when you least expect it. I wouldn’t spend too much now.

I would definitely try spacing your purchases or spending less at each appointment. Unfortunately for me, my SA/SM are used to me coming in a lot and now I am not able to come in as much. I received a comment about it even though my spend is high, I have non leather on my request list and a lot of what I want isn't in stock. I suspect I would be better off coming in more often and spending less per visit. I had my first pushy experience last time I was there.
I am in the same boat where I spent so much in the last 6 months and now I am burnt out. And I still haven't got my quota bag this year. I am going to ask my SA directly when I can get one when I go in next time (nicely but I think the question needs to be asked)...

Hi! Does anyone know if a calvi will count towards pre spend? I know some people say leather goods don't, and I’m not sure if that means just bags or small leather accessories too.. thanks!

Hello All,
I wanted to ask for popular item like B25, is the spend ratio 2:1 or 3:1 at this point for NYC- does that ratio include leather too or only non leather. Thank you so much!

Hey! I am pretty new but I started shopping at Madison and finally started talking about a quota bag with my SA. My spend ratio is about 2.5:1 and he told me he is working on trying to get a B30 for me so it seems that spend ratio may be higher for the B25. Not sure if leather goods count towards pre-spend in general but my SA seems to always lead me towards RTW and homegoods and has never offered to show me any leather goods so I think they might count but aren't as favored.

Oh I see, thank you so much. I guess I need to get more homeware, RTW or fine jewelry. I shop at Madison as well. Goodluck with your quota journey :)

Theoretically yes for the US. In practicality, due to low stock levels, no. Also, I am guessing that if your SA gets you a coveted non QB, then he may need to take care of others who don’t have anything bf turning back to you.

i had to start afresh with the Madison boutique after a very long hiatus (my SA left around 2012?), so my relationship is new as of post Covid SIP. I believe @Classiclover and @autumn9898 were asking about ratio

2021: 2:1 or 3:1 first accepted B30 etoupe, phw (SA said had he known I wanted this 30B, it could have been a lot sooner)
thereafter several other B30 offers including craie ostrich, noir touch, and other bags , none of which I took or wanted
2022: zero prespend FSH leather appt: 25K, Bleu orage, ghw (not counted in my quota as per my local SA)
2022: 3:1 or up to 5:1 (counting DHs spend) but honestly I don’t really count anymore for a B25 sellier, gold, phw.

My SA knows I would have bought RTW anyway without the bags bc RTW is my main thing

I don’t have a wishlist, and I am close to the end of my collecting BK. i only wear neutral colored bags, and arguably my favorite bag, even over BK, is my craie mini Della cavalleria
