Spend threshold for B/K/C

Thanks for your thoughts and info! If I do reach 1:1 sooner than next June, would that just mean that I'm then kind of waiting until June to hit, or that the bag may come sooner if I keep spending? I ask this knowing that we're all theorizing!

It's Hermes, so anything is possible really. 😂 It is always possible that your SA can offer you a bag sooner than that. But, you may also end up with a ratio of "1.5 or 2 to 1" instead for your next QB, if you reach a 1:1 ratio so soon.

💯 Wonder if the uncertainty of this economy will eventually soften the prerequisite (despite Hermes doing relatively well

Or if the trend towards quiet luxury (is there a recessionary trend towards quiet lux now IDK ?) will affect demand or lower prespend (not holding my breath 😂
Selfishly I'm hoping prespend ratios will soften, because I don't plan to spend as much as I have in the past this year (but who knows, don't hold me to it lol). But I also doubt this will happen as the stock market is still at an all-time high. 🤔

Don’t quote me on this but I think not this year 🤣 esp with the core clients of Hermes

I have wondered about this. Does Hermes do well because they raise prices and people continue to buy at the same rate or is Hermes actually selling more items/acquiring more customers?

Maybe both but it would matter which contributes more. At some point people are going to be priced out. I mean. Once those short leather jackets are $14k or $15k ….

Perhaps this is discussion for another forum but I think price increases contribute most to revenue these days. I think the number of new clients has slowed and the buying rate of current clients too. I have seen a number of influencers stopping their shopping at the brand or saying they just want one or two more bags. The prespend items are quite pricey these days compared to a few years ago. I see scarf lovers say they will buy maybe one or two scarves this year in lieu of 3/4. I feel the same way. Before I felt like if I like it I will buy it but now I am much more selective of what scarves I add. I have to love it and it really needs to be something I’m missing. With bags being a few thousand higher I am curious how that has impacted prespend ratios. 4-5 years ago 2:1 on a b25 would be roughly 20k but now it would be 24-25k. That’s quite a difference. Is the prespend that high now? I wonder. And factor in price of bag. Oof.

Not sure. However when I wrote the post I was thinking of H shareholders not sales

Anyone have a ratio idea for a cargo birkin and picnic birkin? Ty
These are "relationship bags". If you have a strong client relationship, you can get one; if not, it's going to take a heavy spend. The Picnic in particular is hard right now, because Hermès knows that all the auction houses are asking collectors for Picnics, and that it's a hot bag at resale. (You can always safely assume that Hermès is tracking this stuff, because they are.)

How much prespend to be offered a Kelly Pochette in Europe? The bag is 5.600 euros.

I know it os hard to find one but dreaming doesn’t need any spend.
Even at FSH, I would imagine that one would need a strong relationship and/or be a VIP / high net worth individual or both. Many spend quite a bit; a 2023 post here (ETA: in the Paris thread with the aim towards a MKII or pochette) once stated that they spent 80K eu with no offer. JMO as one could of course get lucky

The youtuber "Rui Etc" received a Kelly Pochette in Germany. She had the option between a KP in Etoupe with Gold Hardware and Noir Gold Hardware, opting for the Noir KP. I would gauge and say the relationship factor weighs heavier than spend
