I got offered my second MK in Nov 2024 after a prespend of 1:1. I have been shopping with my SA for many years though. I don't really know if there is rhyme or reason because I actually wanted a K25 over another MK. I also have many friends at the same store who have gotten K25s and have been waiting for a MK for years. IDK. So dependent on your relationship. SA, timing, etc.

Officially, I currently own a Picotin 18 and a Constance Elan. By chance, I also received a Kelly à la Carte offer, which is currently in production.

My goal is to eventually get a Kelly Elan in the near future, and then later add an exotic KP to my collection. It doesn’t have to happen right away; I’m happy to be patient. I'm not planning to buy other bags in the meantime — I'm just curious about how the process usually works and how one typically progresses towards that.

I think you just ask. Was offered a 25 some years ago in croc without even asking for one. The key is to get the exact combo you want (model, colour, hw). As they are quite expensive, at least I for one would want the perfect one for me. I did not get the croc one as I so far have not felt comfortable paying so much for one single item. I finally decided on an ostrich MK when I was offered to do an SO last autumn.

You can ask at any time but I think an exotic KP is very coveted and hard to get. A B25 or K25 or non-QB exotics (even Constance) on the other hand can sometimes be much easier than regular leather because of the high price point and the much more limited demand. Depends on the color/hardware combo you want too

AI will cure cancer before it figures the ins and outs of Hermes. General rule of thumb is that leather doesn’t count towards pre-spend. Leather sofa? Sure does. Leather wallet? Not as much.
