I’m looking for some moral support…I’m feeling like there isn’t much hope of getting a B30 offer. I’ve been working with one SA at my local boutique since December and have spent about $10k. I go in about once a month. I think we have a good relationship but it’s not like we have bonded or anything. Probably doesn’t matter but I’ve been shopping at H since 2022. I shouldn’t lose hope right? Any stories out there of someone getting an offer at about this point?
For my SA, it's 20k over 12 months dear...

10k since December with the same SA 🩷 not sure how much it’s been total since 2022

I see. So $10k with this particular SA since Dec. you should be there soon. Now that bags are over $12k, they probably would like you to be at least $12-$15k.. like at least a 1:1….

That’s my guess. This year with things the way it is, who knows, maybe you’ll get the call any time. Keep shopping in smaller items t stay on the radar. It will happen.

Don’t loose hope! IMO your expectation of a bag is a little early. I have read stories of people getting offers at this point- but I would tell you to hang in there and be patient. $10k is ALOT of money, but in the Hermes world, I think that is the entry cost of ‘participation’. I am going to say what I am sick of hearing, but it is true- take your time and buy the treasures you really love and want. I approach every purchase with “would I buy this even if I was never offered another bag”. Good luck- and stay hopeful. Most SA are sincere- and they know most people want the bag….and many delight in getting you there! (Glass half full moment!)

Thank you so much everyone for your well wishes! You are all so kind. With my most recent purchases I've now crossed the 1:1 threshold for a B30. The only time I've discussed QBs with my SA was two months ago during a pop in when he himself brought it up. I sent my wishlist (per his request) via text the same day. I haven't brought it up since because I don't want to come off pushy, annoying or desperate for a bag, but of course I would absolutely love one sooner rather than later (don't we all).

Now that I'm at 1:1, would it be appropriate to gently bring it up on my next shopping trip (probably next month)? I know that there is a timing component to qualifying for a QB, and I've only been shopping consistently with him since January, so I don't want to jump the gun if it's too soon. The last few times I was in the store he introduced me to the store director as one of his "favorite clients," and he's introduced me to store managers with equal enthusiasm, which I think is a good sign, but I'm trying not to read too much into it.

I don't want to bring up the wishlist if it will come off entitled or pushy, but I also don't want him to forget that I'm still interested in a QB. The list that I sent him previously was before I really knew the breadth of available H leather colors as well and as I've learned more about the brand and tried on a few other sizes at resale boutiques I think the list of styles, sizes and colors that I am interested in has expanded. Should I just ask if I can update the wishlist I sent to him a few months ago?

Don’t hesitate to tell him about new preferences and ask his opinion on a possible time table. It’s not pushy; you aren’t demanding one tomorrow :) Good luck :D

What are people finding the prespend is around to be offered a special order?
In Europe I had 50.000 and 60.000 euros in prespend, I could be a local but I am not considered one. The store actually cares if you live there and how long you have been a client as opposed to having family, citizenship, speaking the language and/or having property there (which we checked all boxes). I believe it is significantly lower for locals.

I have no idea how it works in the U.S.

It is definitely more relationship based in Europe as well. My SA at my home store offered me an exotic SO as saying thank you for my kind email (telling her how happy I am to work with her shortly after we met the first time). But I also got an (non exotic) SO offer in South of France after spending 30-35k in two days.

You can read about my own experience under the SO title.

I received an SO offer in Paris. I would say I was kind of local, with an average level of spending. I didn’t have a QB in my name. What I wanted was very specific. By chance, I had blindly rejected two amazing bags that had been offered to me. I think this determination gave the impression that I was worthy of an SO offer.

I would like to point out that, to this day, I have never been selected in any lottery appointment (for the past 10 years), and I have never been able to get an appointment in any way. The two bags registered under my name were both given to me purely by chance as a walk-in.

It really is a matter of luck to some extent.
