@parisistherapy , The Short Hills boutique gets mixed reviews on TPF. I would think these are pretty local. You can read a few pages on those threads to get an idea.

I’m not an Hermes exotic person. For one, I’m Actually more RTW focused and i don’t want to spend that much on a bag. But, even with that, I have been offered touch lizard (though by my FSH SA not Madison). But, if I told my madison SA I was interested in exotics, I don’t think there is a shortage. Particularly if one wanted a K28/B30

Those are considered larger sizes these days, and so long as Madison has larger sizes, one can get a larger size bag offer, esp in the higher exotic price point, without much hassle.

Not sure where touch croc and touch lizard fit in

When I mentioned to my SA that I was interested in a touch Birkin, she offered me a bunch almost immediately @parisistherapy though my spend is very modest and my boutique is small though competitive. Unfortunately none were in colors that worked (too similar to colors I already owned or very dark) which, fortunately, she totally understood.

Agreed. Last time I mentioned that I’d love another mini kelly, my SAs immediate response was “what if I found a Touch mini kelly?” and then heavily pushed me in that direction.

I think it also depends on what specific exotic bag you want... if you want a exotic B30, I think they would be very happy to sell that to you with not a lot of purchase history (personal experience.) Same with a croc Constance. Can't tell you how many I've turned down LOL. But if you are interested in a croc MK or B25/K25, that would be much harder. As far as exotic leathers, I personally think ostrich is the easiest to get offered, then full croc, then full lizard due to its rarity. Not sure where touch croc and touch lizard fit in. Anyways, just my experience...

ETA: Also, not knowing anything about which store you shop at or your situation with your SA, I would say Madison would have the best stock of exotics in general.

Re: touch bags, my SA has shared they are much easier to come by as most exotic lovers prefer full exotic, and non-exotic customers either aren’t interested in paying the price premium or dont want anything exotic altogether.

They find touch bags harder to sell than full exotics as a result (when it comes to high demand/popular bags)

Supply is another thing altogether.

My SA has indicated the same. But, I have to admit the touch lizard 25B 2024 price of a FSH offer in Paris seemed pretty good — I think under 13K EU. The dark Forrest green (maybe vert Rousseau?) was surprisingly beautiful, but too close to what I have, so passed

Hmm, I'm not 100% certain but I don't believe it is happening in all U.S. stores. I would just ask your SA if they are doing the Time Your Way event. My SA told me there are new fabrications since last year, so I was interested in seeing the options.

My SA was the other way around. I wanted the touch but got offered the full crocs instead 😅

Agree. I feel like there's a lot of furniture available at the moment. My SA knows I might be interested in a piece and it seems there's not even really a wait time on some things.

I agree with others, you definitely don't need to buy furniture to get an exotic. I previously told my SA that I wasn't interested in touch or exotics and I still got offered a touch. Then some time passed and I expressed interest in a full exotic as long as it wasn't croc, and an offer soon came. Soon as in the context of H timelines.
