In Paris it is possible to purchase bags without pre-spend, especially with a lottery appointment.
Oh I totally agree it’s possible in Paris. I understand Paris has its own rules. I just meant general for anyone who post about no pre spend that it might not be the whole story. Like the example I gave above where the woman had no prespend but she meant at that location versus what I think is overall spend at Hermes.

When it comes to exotic B/Ks or hot neutrals, do fine jewelry clients get “better” offers than say, mainly RTW clients?
Not if one is a regular RTW client who shops generously and is not a nag. but if someone’s version of RTW is a t shirt and a few twillanes, maybe

You do not need any prespens in Paris to be offered coveted QBs. But IMO you do need a lottery appt; a prearranged appt or some other circumstance. Or a lot of luck and charm

ETA: FSH doesn’t count your spend at another Paris location unless you are the kind of client they decide they want to woo (and IMO that has more to do with VIP or high net worth than actual one time amount spent

ETA: @buddycutie , an SA can pretty easily tell if you are trying to purchase to better game the system. So I would agree with above to buy what you actually want on their own merits. But? Having said that, when the H08 first came out )that being the first watch where Hermes ‘made’ the movement), the day we bought one, we got three offers (accepted an etoupe b30).

However, in general for subsequent offers (like B25 sellier hold; B25 quadrille; and k25 padded Gris Meyer) it’s been a combo of RTW and being very easy going. @a rate of maybe 5X plus in RTW in between accepted offers. I can of course only speak to my own experience. YMMV

Yes, I saw her post too! And I agree with you, some people definitely have a different definition of "prespend" LOL. I also think it's about the overall profile, as well as potential for future spend. BTW that lady also went in with her mini Kelly, dressed head to toe in Hermes, and her daughter also had a K25, so clearly not first time H shoppers. Based on her prior posts, she also shops in Paris several times a year, so maybe she meant she had "no prespend" THAT day lol. Although that B25 touch in gris meyer she got was gorgeous!!! Lucky her!!

ETA: forgot to add that it was a walk-in appointment!

How about the same amount of a watch and a jacket (let say both are 6-7k), which one can make a better profile?
Thanks.
Buy both!! Just kidding. If it's a watch event, buy the watch. If it's a RTW event, buy the jacket. Otherwise, agree with @acrowcounted, just buy what you like... but if you like a limited edition 5-figure unique piece like @haute okole , even better lol!

lol! Says the owner of the Hors Serie limited edition Vest! Yes, those limited edition RTW pieces do seem to enhance our bag offers. Bespoke MTM also helps, ALOT.

Yes! My friend got a K25 Etuope offer right after she purchased the NEW H watch with a diamond frame lol 😂

I am now in the 'waiting' period, I would like to get a SO watch at my next appointment but my SA always shows me the latest jackets which I kindly turned down. So I am still thinking about what to buy next......

If your SA shows you jackets, that might be a hint. But, if you don’t like RTW, she will appreciate you being up front so she doesn’t waste her time. I don’t spend S much as the big whales above (you guys know who you are   :graucho::graucho::love::love:lol) but I don’t really have an official waiting period per se . But, my SA knows I will be a regular , irrespective of offers, so long as I love the seasons other offerings

ETA: of course if it’s a harder to move fJ piece, that’s better than the more popular, better priced lines

Yes I do love my limited edition vest! That whole collection was beautiful. And I have wondered if my FSH SA had 2 bags ready for me that day. The blue box bag if I bought the vest, and a "stockroom special" if I didn't LOL.

I think the SO watch event is starting this weekend (in the U.S. at least), so if you want to do an SO watch, now is the time!

Yeah, she told me it was from May to the end of Aug. I still want to catch up on the SO watch event..... hopefully she will not show me another jacket lol or I will tell her, let me get the jacket in the Fall. :P

So I just saw a post on Facebook that made me understand how subjective the term “pre-spend” is amongst shoppers. This woman said in her post that she has shopped at George V and Severes many times, but never at FSH. She got lucky and scored a bag with no prespend at FSH.
In my mind, when I think of prespend, I think of how much has someone spent at Hermes overall and not store specific because it could be that your high spend at this location helped you score a bag in a second if the second store is able to view your profile/history.
Re-wiring my brain now because I was delulu into thinking most of these people walk into a store and got a bag without ever buying anything from Hermes loll.
I also think of prespend as everything. It's interesting to see the different definitions.
