honestly asking how does one know which stores are the “most competitive”? they all seem so competitive!! even if you’re at a smaller store, they seem to get less stock/less to chose from, so aren’t they all competitive in different ways? I shop at a pretty large boutique in the US and I defiantly feel like “small fish”, lol
The first QB was the easiest in my experience. I personally think they make the first one relatively easy to get you hooked
I definitely feel like small fish. For me, the competitiveness refers to prespend amount among customers. Then again, I’m sure each store has super VIIP who can drop 5-6 figures in a heart beat!

I feel as if there are nuances that I may be missing here: are we talking about how much one has spent before one is offered a bag or before one is offered a bag that one accepts?
I was certainly offered a couple of 'quota' bags before I accepted my first bag from my SA so presumably my 'spend' was lower than it was when I accepted a Birkin (I don't keep track so honestly have no idea...don't really want to know). I was also offered 7 or 8 'quota' bags before I accepted my second Birkin so, again, I had probably spent quite a bit between the first of those offers and the one I accepted.

Yes it exists. I was offered my top choice QB after a very low prespend. Less than .5.
Was offered a B25 Bleu Jean GHW about a month ago.

1:1 ish for the second one
3:1 ish for the third one
A part of it is my wishlist getting more specific over time.
A part of it is my SA having more clients (he was fairly new when I started with him)
I still think there’s a third part where newer clients are prioritized though. But that’s fine by me since I was a new client and was prioritized once
@hbr congrats! Was it your first offer? I wonder if it gets easier once I become an established client. With 2.5 pre spend with no offers, I’m trying to tell myself to be patient.

Yes! it was my first offer! I was completely shocked and wasn’t expecting it after only working with my new SA for about a month. I think there are so many factors at play so it’s not the same for everyone. I think the store I work with isn’t considered “competitive” and my SA and I really just clicked.
