I just paid my special order for 2 motif earrings in white gold with diamonds on the top and chalcedony at the bottom. The price quoted is $16,076, which appears to have no extra mark up. Is it the new rule? Glad we don’t have to pay extra for SO now.
That’s a bummer. This would be the best combo, aside from pave-turquoise which exists for VVIPs. I don’t know why you were denied. They need to make it as a regular item.

My SO for 2 motif pave and WMOP earrings in RG and Large mirror polish Frivole earrings In RG were approved in October 2023. Both didn't have markup either. I am not sure if there is rule change but I am surprised that even my non pave earrings didn't have a premium charge. My wallet is happy though!
Thank you girls! I'm super excited and can't wait to see the final products. Will definitely post pictures here. I ordered a MTO last year and there was an about 30% premium charge. I guess the SO does have different rules.
You have beautiful combinations too. Have you received them? It took me 5 months to get the price quote and was told another 3 months to make them.

Took a few months to get approved and yes, 30% premium. Will be worth it, though! It looks like it will arrive by the end of the year, so maybe 8 months or so from when it was approved/paid for.
When paying 30% over, do you ever feel a little bit concerned that they might eventually release the piece in their regular line? When I was asking my SA he said who knows since they already released wg and now theres the rg guilloche carnelian
Especially with the pave piece, i know some people above said that they didn’t have to pay 30% for pave SOs but I’m not sure about the all RG pave piece. With tax it would be like $40K USD lol. If they ever released that in their regular line I would be pissedddd if I actually go through with the so
