Special Orders

I see! I wonder if VCA is trying to sus out if there is intention to resell and thus taking longer to review, as some brands such as Hermes with high demand are sensitive to identical purchases. For instance a customer would not be able to get two Birkins with the exact same specifications.
Hopefully your ten motifs are approved soon, the combo would look great double layered!
Very interesting point! It never occurred to me that VCA would be wary of a client purchasing two with one for resale. I suppose with all of the Holiday Pendants that show up on sites like Fashionphile and The Real Real in near real time VCA has to be careful. Plus reselling a special order item could lessen the cache of SO jewelry. Ha! I love the idea that the piece is unique to me, at least so long as someone else doesn’t make the same request.

Early in my purchasing history I bought two YG Guilloche 10-motif necklaces a few months apart. A 20-motif YG Guilloche isn’t part of the line and at that time I wasn’t anywhere near a spend level to make a special order request. I also have the 5-motif YG Guilloche bracelet. I like the flexibility the three pieces give me, essentially necklaces in four lengths. That’s why my SO is for two 10-motif necklaces rather than one 20-motif necklace. Perhaps they will look at my purchase history and understand what I am trying to do.

Just remembered that this year is the first year I’ve submitted a SO request since, like, 4 years ago.

Back then, I made a request in Paris for a multi-stone bracelet with onyx, mop, TE, carnelian, and agate. I was inspired by the militia-stone Bulgari Bulgari bracelet. My design was rejected…

At the time, though, I was so dead-set on it that I was considering buying 5 bracelets and just making the design myself with a private jeweler.

I get that. Getting rejected can be defeating, I know if mine gets rejected I'd be so disappointed.

Most likely they rejected it because they didn't want to be accused of copying Bvlgari, nothing personal 😅

I purchased one HG 10 motif in VCA boutique and another on through Neiman Marcus. I love the versatility of having two and being able to combine them or wear separately.

Special order is something which isn’t from the pre-approved list.
Thank you for your reply! Oh, wow and how to know what's in the pre-approved list? I didn't even know there was one. I usually ask if it's possible to make what I have in mind and then wait for their decision. For my last one they didn't want to make it (2 motifs blue agate earrings), they offered to make 1 motif blue agate earrings instead but after asking nicely again they finally said yes.

That’s a special order, made to order is having something they have in their collection but with a different metal or stone, e.g. 5 motif in white old onyx instead of yellow gold. Ask for the preapproved list and they will say maybe

Im over my SA. I thought i placed a special order weeks ago but apparently not, he gave an excuse and i know he’s lying. Anytime i mentioned the special order, he would go quiet. Im almost certain he wanted me to buy another thing before placing it, even though my prespend is way more than enough.
