Thank you! Oh dear ... I could not tell you the name of the place. I bought those thin cuffs years ago while I worked at the jewelry district in LA. When you go to Hill Street in Downtown LA, they have several jewelry booths inside the San Vincent building and I used to roam around that place all the time. There are so many hidden gems in there LOL I am so so sorry but I just don't know the name. If you do some search on Etsy, you might find something. Sorry about that

Sharing my brand new SO: WG blue agate alternating with WG guilloche. I am so pleased with how it turned out, and the agate colour is exactly how I wanted — deep yet clearly blue (the colour is hard to capture in photos… will try for better action shots when I wear it for real ).
In terms of timeline, I recall placing the request sometime late 2022 / early 2023, received the quotation and paid the deposit early March (the combo required further validation so took more time, also impacted by new year‘s holidays I think) then the piece arrived in boutique a couple days ago.

Congratulations on this truly Special order! That is the most striking combo. The shade of blue is my favorite, so deep but in direct light it lightens just a touch. Can’t wait to see you throw it on with your fabulous outfits.

Hi! Well, for me, I am usually not picky about matching natural stones for things like this (e.g. 20 motif). However, for earrings, since there are only two, I would have expected a better match. If these two motifs were part of a 20 motif, then I would keep the 20 motif as it would not be a big deal and the uniqueness gives the 20 motif character.

However, in the case of an earring set, I would want it to match. That's the whole point of earrings, a "matched set" the trade's terminology when buying stones for earrings. The emphasis is on how perfectly they match.

Hence for me, I would not accept them,and I would not hesitate to tell the SA they are earrings, just two motifs, and they are not even matched.

Instead of ordering a new set (another crap shot), I would pick the motif you like the best and ask if VCA can replace one of the stones to match the stone you like. This would be the easiest solution and most likely what VCA will do given this is a MTO.
Replacing one stone is easier too; they do not need to make a whole new earring.

Also, to me, the fact that you had to post this question on TPF says you are not in love with these earrings. First impressions are usually correct, and there is no point in trying to convince yourself to keep them. It should be love at first sight, which it is not.

My vote says ask for a new motif.. easy fix. That's my two cents. Hope this helps in your decision.

I was a bit nervous on how the agate colour would turn out, and my SA was very helpful in emphasising to HQ the type of colour I preferred (we also sent in a sample pic of my current agate pieces in YG, but as we know it is so hard to get the true shade in a pic).
This forum has also been super helpful — another lovely TPF member SO’d a WG agate piece which really inspired me.
